Did you see last night’s Horizon investigating whether supplements are necessary, unnecessary, maybe even dangerous? Maybe it’s left you wondering too?
As with most of these programmes, it didn’t really tell the whole story, and there’s plenty of evidence that supports the use of food supplements.

Antibiotics are a vital medical treatment, and sometimes necessary. However, they are being so ubiquitously used in human and animal healthcare that we have inadvertently created an antibiotic crisis.
So what is the solution when you do have to take antibiotics? Find out in our new article 'Probiotics for Antibiotics': http://bit.ly/2q8uGml

Recent feedback Mrs C.R. consulted me mid-August with a range of complaints, including IBS, extreme fatigue, athlete's foot and other minor problems. Today, 6 weeks into her Nutritional & Supplement plan, she writes: My fatigue is completely gone, my hair is in lovely condition. IBS been good apart from a small flare up which I'm blaming on stress. #LoveMyJob #NutritionalTherapyRocks 😍

Another interesting read - thank you Debbie for sharing. The effects of C02 on crops, coupled with the depletion of nutrients caused by intensive farming, makes the case for good quality supplementation even stronger. Intensive farming has been depleting nutrients in soil over time and sadly modern day fertilisers do not replace these nutrients, bar a few like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK), whilst other vital nutrients and trace elements are being lost from our food chain!https://www.politico.com/…/food-n utrients-carbon-dioxide-00…

Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine. Much of his wisdom, which is now over 2,000 years old, has stood the test of time.
The use of antibiotics in healthcare, agriculture and animal raising. We have in many ways sterilised our environment, and this is detrimental to our microflora balance. When we are not getting enough beneficial microbes, or are killing them because we need antibiotics, we need supplementation of probiotics more than ever.
... It is not a question of whether we need probiotics, but how we can find the ones that give us the greatest therapeutic effect. We want to avoid probiotic supplements that are without quality assurance and validation from dosage research, but are created from a marketing standpoint.
When it comes to probiotics, we must be aware that more is not better. Some brands contain vast amounts of bacteria because they have no way of ensuring that the bacteria can remain "alive" or viable in the gastrointestinal tract, so they put in more in hope that at least some bacteria will reach the large intestines where they are most needed. The truth is that the viability and effect of probiotics can only be ascertained through a scientific approach.

Liza Pacitto reviewed Carla Ardimento, D.N.Med Nutritional Therapist and Reflexologist – 5 star
I've been seeing Carla Ardimento on and off for nutritional therapy and reflexology for many years.
In the past she has helped with my IBS and helped me stay nutritionally balanced on a vegetarian diet.
... Last year Carla recomended supplements and a diet to help me conceive and support my pregnancy throughout.
My supplements were aimed at providing nutrients for the development of a healthy baby and to strengthen baby's immune system.
All supplements and my diet were approved by my doctors and midwives, because they were all professional products made in the UK and meeting RDI standards.
We now have a healthy, beautiful baby boy and I'm now taking supplements to support my wellbeing through breastfeeding.
Carla is always professional, friendly and supportive and I recommend her without hesitation for all your health and wellbeing needs.

Seven years ago I was desperate to have a baby, my second baby. I’d had all the relevant tests from the doctor and there was no explanation for why I couldn’t fall pregnant. After various attempts of infertility drugs and the 1st stages of IVF over a long three and a half years I was stressed, run down and completely exhausted. I hardly recognised myself, energy less, chronic fatigue, acne and insomnia. By chance a lady who I’d never met before in a hairdressers mention to me... that I should see her Nutritional Therapist as she could help me! Although sceptical that anything would work I phoned and made an appointment with Carla. I can still remember our first meeting and after only 11 weeks I got a long awaited positive pregnancy test result!! I was thrilled, over the moon. It had been hard changing my food and eating habits but it was completely worth it and I had stuck to it as if my life depended on it. After meeting Carla I knew she was going to be able to help me I just wasn’t prepared for how life changing it was about to be. Although I was pregnant I was also feeling so well. My acne had gone, I was sleeping through the night, I had bags and bags of energy and felt the most well I had done for years and years both physically, mentally and emotionally. Seven years on I have another baby boy with no trouble and still continue to follow a ‘Carla Plan’. Emma R - Bexleyheath

Nutirional Therapy Testimonial - I had a Nutritional Therapy consultation with Carla plus a follow up, and the positive effects on my physical and emotional health are ongoing, over 2 years later. Carla's consultation was classically holistic and in depth, and she identified a condition I wasn't aware of but was later confirmed by my doctor. Carla has always been happy to give ongoing support following my consult, As a behaviourist I understand the important connection betwee...n nutrition and good mental and physical health, and I also know that it is crucial to find a qualified therapist such as Carla who has a deep knowledge and understanding of their field. When I consulted Carla I was suffering from IBS, fatigue, palpitations, chest pains and sleeplessness. Since following her nutritional advice (which has only meant dietary tweaks, not big changes, and recommended, easily available, nutritional supplements) I am astonished at how much more energy I have. My physiological anxiety symptoms have gone, my health is excellent and I have a positive outlook which is helping me to follow my life’s dreams and work in a focussed way towards self-fulfilment. I have no hesitation in recommending Carla as a professional, ethical and effective nutritional therapist Debbie B, Manchester, 2012

Nutritional Therapy review - Lorna A - I would recommend Carla to anyone who requires a good, experienced Nutritional Therapist. I first met Carla many years ago when I needed help and guidance with symptoms similar to IBS...Carla gave me a thorough holistic consultation which took in my lifestyle, diet and more...it gave her a good idea of me so she could recommend the right approach to treat me. I had to change my diet and take minerals and supplements to aid my recovery initially over 3 months and with Carla's help I felt better over time. Certain foods and life situations triggered my symptoms and Carla helped me identify how best to manage this and I appreciated all the knowledge I got. It also helped lead me to have more of an interest in the holistic approach to life. Thanks Carla

Eileen Rooke was one of my first Nutritional Therapy clients back in the late 1990s. She did remarkably well; recovering from 47 years or heartburn and hiatus hernia. Sadly (and frustratingly!) The Daily Mail used her success story to promote a Food Combining Book when food combining was only a small part of her treatment plan!

Very effective and all you need is a natural bristle brush! ** Dry skin brushing ** helps eliminate toxins from your body, helps you achieve smoother/softer skin, firm your body, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and increase circulation.
Before your bath or shower, take a couple minutes… Begin with your feet and brush in circular motions. Continue brushing up your legs. Proceed to your hands and arms. Brush your entire back and abdomen area, shoulders and neck. Lightly brush the chest area. Brush upwards on the back and down from the neck. It’s easy to remember it this way: Small circular motions towards your heart.
