Sunday funday with Carnicero

We first ate here in January this year and loved it so much we brought our friends back with us on Saturday. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. It was very busy Saturday and the coped very well. The meat is just to die for ! As well as the side ! And the chocolate brownie is incredible! Thank you and we look forward to coming back !

This place has given me the best steak since I visited New York! I’m always nervous to recommend places to friends because we all have a different view on things but this place does not disappoint. Great food, amazing team who go above and beyond, great selection of wine and yummy cocktails.

This is one of the best places you want to go eat in.



I had the grilled scallops in garlic butter.

Then the 10oz Rib eye steak with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms with pepper sauce .

As an added indulgence was the four cheese platter and i accompanied it with 10yr old vintage Grahams port.



The scallops were so perfect it was like placing fluffy, creamy puffs of heaven on my toung.

The steak was so amazing each bite was devinely euphoric. Then the cheese and port platter was the way to end all days.

The qualty of service was so high end and so perfect that I would put it up there with one of the best places to eat in Southampton.

Staff were attentive but not too fussy so it was very relaxed and informal...one waiter called me "mate" which alwats annoys me but he didn't say it again so quickly forgotten



Fantastic food, scallops, fillet steak and the house red was very smooth



Free Limoncello shots with a nice strong Espresso Coffee



All in all a great place to eat and socialise - will be going again for sure

It's a fantastic place to come and eat, the atmosphere is great and the food is great! The lady and chap who served us were really polite and understanding. This was our third attempt to find food on a Sunday night, TGIs were really rude to us, and the other place recommended was decidedly shut!

I can't get over how nice the food was, to the point I can still remember how it tasted a week later! Medium rare steak, with mango sorbet for desert. It was absolutely gorgeous, parents had the roast beef between two and sister had lamb shanks. Both just melted in the mouth.

They were very polite and the restaurant has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere, brilliant for a family meal of all ages! We will be coming back again next time we are in Southampton!!

I have been here twice now, once with fussy parents and second for my birthday! The food on both occasions absolutely phenomenal and all had various different meals of equal quality. The atmosphere is really great in there and the staff are superb!

Had the tapas to share last night along with sweet potato fries and the vanilla cheese cake. Heaven on Earth. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had dinner here with my friends and the staff was excellent and very polite! The atmosphere was fantastic to match the vibrant atmosphere of Oxford street, the food was excellent I had a nice sirloin steak rare and was cooked to perfection, we shared a few starters with a party of 9 and all starters were very good! Will definitely come back here again best steak house I been to in Hampshire.

Had a fabulous dinner for two to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The staff were very welcoming, courteous, and accommodating.

AND THE FOOD - AMAZING!! We shared fillet steak and lamb steak, made just to order, beautifully presented, and sooooo delicious!! And lastly, the atmosphere is very relaxed; we felt like we were on holiday!

I highly recommend CARNICERO for even for just drinks and appetisers, and especially for that special night out with your partner or good friends. �

Fabulous meal only observations were the creamed spinach was swimming in sauce (not to our taste) my filet steak was great but could have been hotter. But overall the meal was great & service was good. Will defiantly be going again soon!!

Best steak in Hampshire and the south of England. If you like the finer things in life, Carnicero is for you. Fabulous steaks in a great atmosphere

A group of ten of us pitched up on Bank Holiday Monday including my 3yr old son. Although they didn’t have a specific children’s menu, they did him fish fingers and chips which he loved.

Nothing was too much trouble for them, food was lovely and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended for any other customers looking for something great to eat.

Whilst the emphasis is clearly on steak the menu has plenty of options and the specials board added yet more variety. The service was good, though we were early in the lunch serving and it was quiet.



The quality of the beef was very high. The standard is locally sourced matured cuts but you can request USDA, Australian or Angus if you prefer. We had the local meat and it was great.



Both steaks were a touch rarer than ordered, which is far better than the reverse. The tenderness of the beef saved it, so there was no harm done. If I went again however I would mention this when ordering.



The restaurant itself is a little cluttered and I can imagine it being fairly loud when full. That wasn't a thing for us, as I said earlier, we were an early cover.



If I find myself in Southampton again I would be more than content to go back.

Only people there for lunch so service was good. Food was very nice, we had the 2 course lunch menu and we weren’t disappointed, good choice of starters and mains we all enjoyed our food. Value for money.

Excellent food... service was very slow though due to people being off sick. Could pick a few holes.. forgot cutlery so starter went cold, chipped champagne flute (although contexts replaced generously for free �), main course took forever to come BUT...



Food was absolutely amazing! We’d eaten here back in April, the service then was good. We ordered the same thing both times as loved it so much the first time; cocktail sausages to graze on, then the 24oz beef rib steak to share! On the bone so full of flavour, so tender, hardly any fat, cooked to perfection. We also had scallops last time which were truly amazing!
