I am a part-time family photographer and a full-time mum to Charlie and Evie, two very loveable and energetic toddlers.
I love spending time outdoors and am never happier than when I’m on a beach blowing away the cobwebs, or out walking with my children, my husband and my dog. For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a camera and loved taking photos of friends and family. For me, the idea of being able to freeze a moment in time and capture a smile, a special moment, a kiss (or even a tantrum) is what photography is all about!
My style as a photographer is very relaxed and flexible. I am passionate about capturing the natural and happy moments that exist between family members, and I choose to shoot in a very unobtrusive manner, as some people can be extremely camera shy and find posing uncomfortable and awkward, so the last thing they want is a camera in their face. I balance out my shoots with some direction (if and when it is needed), but also shoot in quite a reactive style which works well with young children who just want to run around!
I know from first-hand experience that asking the majority of young children to sit and smile nicely at a camera will either result in a tongue sticking out, a crazy smile or them just turning away. To combat this, I tend to provide a lot of props to entertain and distract younger children, so they have fun and don't even realise their photograph is being taken! This is always why I like to allow up to 2 hours for a shoot, as sometimes it can take that long to get people to relax and get into the swing of things. Nobody likes to be rushed, and being rushed on a photo shoot will certainly not produce the best images!
I love watching the light throughout different times of the day and in different seasons to see how it produces a beautiful range of atmospheres and moods, and I love to capture this both in my own family and others. It is for these reasons that I always prefer to shoot in the great outdoors as no two days are the same, and people always feel more free and relaxed.
I absolutely love my job and feel it is such a privilege to capture people and freeze that moment in time for them.

Really great photo shoot. Caroline was amazing and took photos of a 4 year old and mad Labrador in her stride and got some amazing pictures. Fully recommended.
It's hard to put into words how amazing our photoshoot experience was with Caroline. We received our photographs yesterday and the whole family can't stop talking about them - we are all in love with them! Caroline was wonderful with the adults and children alike - being able to give advice and ideas on what would provide the best photographs whilst still being keen on hearing any ideas myself and family had about the shoot and how best to accommodate those. She even took it in her stride when two family members decided they wanted to be models and demanded picture after picture as they 'posed'!! I literally can't praise her enough! A wonderful day, wonderful photos and I will definitely be booking Caroline again in the future. My mother described the whole afternoon as 'inspired' and I couldn't agree more xx

I was lucky enough to win a photo shoot competition on Caroline’s Facebook page earlier in the year. We had never had any family photos done professionally before. I needed purple and green pictures to fit in with the colour theme in our lounge, hence waiting for the lavender photo shoot season. Caroline made us feel at ease and made the shoot fun for our daughter. The photos were edited and emailed to us very quickly and they look fantastic. I bought the whole selection of digital photos, as I wouldn’t have been able to choose just 3. Our friends and family were very impressed with the photos, too. Thank you, Caroline!
Caroline was totally brilliant with our three kids (aged 6, 6 and 18 months). She really made sure that they had the space and time to have fun, but directed them when necessary and they responded really well to her. So pleased with our pictures, thanks Caroline!
Caroline was fabulous and made us all feel relaxed. We had a family photo shoot at Hilliers and she took the most amazing photos of us all, capturing the beautiful autumnal colours which made the perfect backdrop. Caroline took some lovely natural shots and managed to capture the children smiling and laughing - they were like putty in her hands!
Caroline was absolutely fantastic with my nearly 4 year old daughter! Maisie had so much fun!! Caroline came completely prepared with bubbles, balloons and sweeties!!! Caroline had so much energy you can’t help but smile being around her!! She allowed Maisie to do what she wanted in front of the camera and was full of praise!! Caroline is a natural! She loves what she does and immediately puts you at ease. Her bright and smiley personality is an instant hit with the kids too (as are the treats!). I can't rate her highly enough. The photos are fabulous!! If you want to capture some magical memories with your loved ones, and have fun making them - then Caroline is your girl!
