A big thanks to Kerri & all the customers & staff that supported us to make a very successful eve to raise money & awareness to Whizz Kids. We raised a whopping £475 which was mainly due to the generosity of donated raffle prizes.

turned up for pub lunch with parents for my birthday and the sunday roast was excellent and very filling. defo will pre-book next time for a table. highly recommend!! :D

User

Went to the Carpenters Arms for the first time on Sunday with my family, we had the Sunday roast and the Beef was perfect, very friendly staff and the desserts are a must. We will be returning soon

User

Went here for a roast yesterday for a family birthday. I can honestly say this was the best roast dinner I have ever had out of the home. Not one part of it could be faulted, it was absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who constantly topped up the gravy and horse radish and vegetables. I can't wait to go back! The only down side is the place itself, very outdated and poorly decorated. It's just old fashioned. It doesn't matter though, the food and service and amount of people in there speak for themselves. I'll be back!!

User

We will be here this evening as our family recommended i believe this place are nice and looking forward to see you all

User

I was taken to the Carpenters arms for my birthday, I ordered the Prawn cocktail for a starter thinking I would get a glass with the few prawns and lettuce, so was amazed when this small dish came out covered with prawns and sauce. Service was good they were not there every two minutes asking if verything was ok. All the main courses arrived hot and together for the three of us. Overall it was an excellent night.

User

I often choose to visit the carpenters arms for one of the nicest Sunday lunches around! we get visitors from home and I always take them here, my mother in law loved it. the staff are always helpful and pleasant very hard working! there was a nice young boy serving us yesterday and my father in law said he was so nice he'd be proud if he was his son which is a huge compliment trust me! I plan to continue coming here.

User

I called in on a busy Sunday afternoon and asked for table availability for one ...

I was promptly seated and soon after served the best Sunday dinner I've had from a pub in years ....

The staff on the bar and the girls serving food were very busy but always found time for a friendly smile.

My only faults are .. it's to far for a visit anytime soon ,I live in Manchester ... and the other is I never had enough room to sample a sweet .. I was to full ...

10/10 from me x

I booked a table at The Carpenters Arms for 9 of us, due to a friend moving away. Sadly only 7 of us made it in the end and we were seated on a huge round table that made it so much easier to talk to each other than being on a long table, with plenty of elbow room!

We were served by a young, friendly & cheerful lad who couldn’t have been more helpful. The odd mistake was made, but as soon as he realised the error he came and apologised and even offered a free drink to the one who’s meal had been ordered incorrectly, rectifying the problem immediately.

We all enjoyed the food, my dish in particular was amazing; a Chefs Special of ‘Breast of Duck’ served with stir-fry vegetables, noodles & a sweet honey & soya sauce. I have honestly never tasted anything so delicious in my life!! Not only was there a lot of food on my plate (Duck (cooked to perfection I might add!) noodles, new potatoes, peppers, cashew nuts, red onion, green beans, mushrooms and more than likely something I’ve forgotten!) but it was seriously amazing!! I couldn’t manage to eat it all, as much as I tried! Huge compliments to the Chef/s please!!

The dessert list was great too, a fabulous selection to keep everyone happy and plenty of choice of ice creams or sorbets too

The drinks were great too! A lovely selection of Gins though the Elderflower Gin had ran out by the time I came to order another

We were also served by Kim, another great member of the team who couldn’t do enough to help. Between Kim & the other young lad (sadly didn’t catch his name) we were very, very well looked after.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely meal here last night, thank you all so much!

We’ll be back for sure (I definitely will!!)

First visit to the Carpenters Arms today for lunch. I have to say I was very impressed, so much so I have booked for a Sunday lunch and also an evening meal for a celebration. Would definitely recommend.

User

Fantastic pub, staff very friendly and welcoming. Food always fresh and piping hot, we've been for Sunday lunch now at least five times and always a great selection of meats and seasonal vegetables. Very clean and child friendly. Top Marks!

User

Excellent food & extremely friendly professional staff with attention to detail. We were a party of 9 on holiday & dined there most of the week & even at short notice they managed to fit us in.

If you are in the area definitely eat there, you won't be disappointed.

User

Enjoyed eating at this pub, food excellent and reasonable prices, also enjoyed quiz night as this is on the 3rd Thursday of each month for charity.

User

Couldn't fault it will go there again

User

After riding back from great yarmouth i noticed this place and immediately slammed my breaks on to stop off as it looked very appealing from the outside. Went in to order food and it wasnt long before arriving. Although i only had a burger and chips with garnish and the wife a bagguette, both were delicious and very plentiful. Ordered the wife a side of chips but there was no need as plenty on my plate to share. If i didnt live 3 hours ride away id be back regularly

User

Stayed nearby on holiday went Monday night was so impressed booked again for Friday night. Great atmosphere, wide range of beers, quality home cooked food Go into the rear beer garden for a surprise. A must to visit
