Went in for the steak night on a Saturday, cracking deal two steak meals and a bottle of wine for £24 and the four of us all enjoyed our meals,my ribeye was bursting with flavour and the rest of our party said the same about theirs and the Stilton sauce was lush, great food and good service,we will be back.

We came for a meal last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Billie the beautiful pup was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended thank you

I lived in Sherston over 40 years ago and my Dad, Bill Thomas and my brother Justin Thomas were regulars at the Carps. Those were the days when there were big barrels of scrumpy and hard wooden benches to sit on. It was a real drinkers pub.

Pete has now taken it over and being from the village he still welcomes all the old regulars and has kept some of the original features which is great. He is a lovely guy and his staff are also very helpful.

Thank you for helping me to give my brother Justin a good send off yesterday. He would have loved it!

Good birthday meal at carps with mum grab Nan and Megs top food

Found myself becoming a regular at this lovely,friendly,village pub. We have experienced many meals and nights out here,highly recommended. The Christmas menu is absolutely amazing and such good value for money ,I never heard one complaint from any of the 8 friends sat on my table for a very Christmassy experience . Amazing food,good service (even under pressure) and amazing value for money.

Absolutely brilliant night for The Carpenter’s Arms second birthday party, wonderful host, very tasty food, excellent party atmosphere.

Six family members went in for lunch yesterday, service was really good, the food was great. Lovely pub would definitely go back again and also recommend it to friends ��

Normally absolutely love this pub and usually visit on a saturday night. But unfortunately after our visit yesterday i will not be in a rush to return.

Had rang up the pub to see if food was on all day and the lady i spoke to said yes. We then arrived and was told that it was curry night (which was not mentioned on the phone), so we decided to leave it. As we reached the door we were then told that they were serving the normal menu as well, so we decided to stay. Ordered our drinks and sat down at the table. Was sat at the table for around 10 minutes and was waiting to be served and the waitress came over and said that they werent going to be serving food until 6 (it was 17.20 at the time) we had a 1 year old with us so there was no way he could sit there for 40 mins with no food. So we had to down our drinks and decided to leave, we were starving so when i left i did see that you did take aways. So took my son to his nans and decided to order a takeaway from there (which ended up being even more of a polava) because it wasnt until we got to the end of our childs order of food did we get told that we couldnt have half of what we ordered. Picked up food and was not up to normal standard, had to leave half of mine.

Normally a lovely place and great atmosphere just a shame yesterday happened.
