First time here. A very friendly welcome. Mix of bar, restaurant, bed and breakfast accommodation and a small caravan site. Food nice, beautiful area. :)

Well worth a visit. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and they made such a fuss of our 3 year old girl :) They made us feel so very welcome. Lovely, friendly and down to earth. Very reasonable prices. Food is absolutely amazing and presented exceptionally well. Definitely visiting again next week and will book for a birthday next month without a doubt. Absolutely amazing pub. Also love the fact they have a games cupboard so we sat playing cards while we waited for our food (which came out very quickly) Was a nice change from us all sat flicking on our phones.

Popped in of the off-chance. Great chilli lunch, tasty salad, friendly, not overbearing service. Very glad I stopped.

We regularly eat here and you can't beat the welcome or the food, always fresh hot and delicious! My German shepherd dog loves it too.

What a smashing little gem of a place, in beautiful Cheshire countryside with a warm and inviting welcome for families and children. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys great hospitality and dining. We stayed for a weekend in February in our caravan with our two children. We met Paul and Diane the owners, who along with their staff went above and beyond our expectations to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay despite the poor weather. There was great variety from both the day and evening menus on offer in the Carriages bar / restaurant where we dined with our children. Hearty, wholesome portions meant hungry tummys were soon filled and along with the friends we travelled with, we had a lovely two evenings in the company of Carriages. Paul was a most polite, attentive host; open and approachable and despite some other ill mannered guests our weekend was a perfectly enjoyable one. The previous one-star vindictive remark should be disregarded. Carriages deserves every 5 star review posted - these are testimony to the wonderful service we all received! We would definitely return to experience some of the family orientated events that Carriages has planned later in the year and wish Carriages all the best for continued success.

Stayed here recently with our caravan as part of a rally. We were warned by a very worried owner that the field was muddy due to a couple of days of heavy rainfall but he did his best and some of the vans were set up on the carpark. We chose to go on the field and the owner Paul did his utmost to point out the best areas where there was hardcore just beneath the surface. This problem is to be resolved in the very near future as the whole field is being revamped. We were given a royal welcome in the bar and restaurant. Paul and his staff gave us top notch treatment and the food was excellent - we already knew this as we had been on a previous occasion. There are 2 large shower/toilet rooms which were unfortunately not warm - it was February!! This venue is only a few miles from home and we fully intend to return for a meal and the only reason we probably won't take the caravan is its just a bit too close so we have visited all the local places of interest a number of times. Good luck to Paul and Dianne of this, their new venture.
