stayed at carriages over Christmas and new year we went back for mothers day food here is great all staff are very friendly can't fault the place we have booked again for Christmas and new year

omg!!!!! i literally am struggling to express how perfect our evening was. firstly lets start with the lovely owners who are so friendly and welcoming, the decor is lovely with warm fire places, next onto the food...... WOW! i had a tomato and basil soup and honestly was the best soup id ever had it was phenominal. everyones food looked so good ive never had so much food envy before, i wanted everything on the table! but seriously the food was just top notch. we were told everything is delivered fresh on that morning, the fish, the meat, and boy can you tell, the quality of the food is exceptional. we are actually planning on going back in a few days and sharing this amazing gem with other friends and then next our family. definately head on up their guys you will not be disappointed.

We were at the scooter rally that was held just down the road. We thought we'd give it a try. The people are friendly and the food was excellent. Highly recommended it.

We stayed on the campsite really nice. We checked in lovely place. Had a couple of drinks on the Friday really nice couple Paul & Diane very friendly. Carriages is lovely really homely with 2 gorgeous dogs Millie & Summer. Had a lovely meal Saturday night, sat in the lounge really relaxing. Will definitely be coming back. Xx �

This lovely pub is most definitely worth a visit. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome too. Food was really lovely and all home cooked. We will be coming back

Stopped off by chance and found a gem of a place. Food cooked from fresh and a superb menu for choice. Surprised at the prices which were extremely fairly costed. As a free house, a good range of ales on offer and Thwaites Smooth proved to be a delightful beer; I have no doubt the landlord pays equal attention to the keeping of his beers etc as he does with his standards in cuisine. No manager here, but both bar and kitchen staffed by the boss and his lovely lady who will make you feel most welcome.

A place well worth a visit if you are ever in the area. Don't be fooled by the Tearoom signs bordering the road. Keep looking. Your reward will be in finding it.

Paid a visit after a day at the ice cream farm. Had our four year old grandson with us. The food was delicious and definitely value for money I was spoilt for choice with the menu so opted for the lamb roast which was amazing. The staff were so friendly and was great with the grandson. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Myself and my wife celebrated our 10th Anniversary at Carriages. We had a fantastic meal and a wonderful evening. We were made very welcome and we were very much looked after. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Lovely old country house feel, warm and welcoming atmosphere, food was delicious. Friendly, helpful staff.

Just stayed at carriages, facilities were excellent, staff very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, nothing was too much trouble will definitely stay again.

If you want quality food nice surrounding friendly host's & staff then look no further. This is now on my want to return ASAP list .Looking forward to the bbq & summer menu -you won't be disappointed just delighted you went x

Ideal place to break journey to and from Hollyhead ferry port, its clean well equipped and food in Carriages is excellent. Will definitely use again.

Great pub Excellent food and friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly too!

The camp site is good. All pitches have hook-up. Two unisex shower/wc’s but no washing up facilities if you needed any. Good value for money. (Under £20pn).

Well worth a visit and we will return.

Excellent food - The mixed grill is awesome!

What made our stay even better was Paul and Diane - Such friendly and genuine people, who made us, and the kids, feel really welcome even thought our caravan kept tripping their electrics 😉Paul's help & practical advise saved the day 👍🏻Can't recommend a visit enough - we'll be back for sure...!!!

Called past, 4 adults, 2 babies. Sunday, very friendly welcome, wonderful roast beef dinner & Chicken curry.

Fantastic friendly staff,Paul and Diane are lovely and make the effort to make you feel welcome.Relaxing atmosphere and the food is great and value for money. The Gin is my favourite drink from the bar. Millie &Summer are the family dogs and they are very friendly pets .Caravan is on their site so win win ( great for weekend breaks)
