Don't under estimate the importance of servicing your car every year. It's important that the Oil & Filter are changed every year to ensure all parts of the engine are being reached and lubricated, i.e dirty oil deposits dirt around the components and causes problems and even oil starvation. At a service, checks are carried out advising the condition of Brakes, this could be replacement of just the pads, but if left could result in requiring pads and discs as the discs ...become damaged by the worn pads. Aux belts are checked and advised if in a poor condition, if they break, they stop running the water pump and can cause severe engine damage and in some cases the engine is beyond repair. Unfortunately we can't view a cambelt and would only advise that it is replaced as per manufacturers specified time and mileage. Oil leaks, again if left will leak into and onto other parts causing further damage, we would advise these leaks, maybe just clean off for future inspection in a specified time, to ensure we can see where the oil is coming from and advise the correct repair. There are no savings to be made by not servicing your car. We can do as little or as much as your budget allows.

Don't let cambelts catch you out! If the cambelt should break on your car it is likely to cause extensive damage to the engine and in some cases the repair costs out weighs the value of the car. These need to be changed at the correct intervals, it is almost impossible to check the wear of the belt whilst the car is in for service. We recommend that you either check your hand book for the replacement intervals or call Cartech Services on 01452 529676 and will check the details on the system. In either case we can give you a quote enabling you to factor this cost in on your years maintenance schedule. You might be surprised that it costs less than you think, or maybe more! but remember if it should break it could write the car off completely. You are nothing lost by asking the question.

It would be great to have a lovely hot summer as we did last year, although without working Air Con things did get a little hot and sticky. We are currently offering a half price Air Con Service at £30 with any Full Service, because, we will have a lovely summer this year, I've ordered it!

On our return journey from Cornwall last weekend we noticed the amount of breakdowns on the side of the road, our heart went out to the families who looked like they were on the way to their holiday destination. Call us and for £20 we will check your car over, check your lights and fluid levels so at least the basics are sorted.

If you are experiencing problems with a DPF Light coming on your dashboard and the vehicle Regeneration is not turning it off, or your car has failed the MOT due to a blocked DPF, give us a call we now have the equipment to carry out Deep Clean DPF Regeneration, this could prevent you having to replace the DPF Filter which is costly. All Diesel cars with DPF Filters should be regularly run at a constant speed for at least 20 minutes allowing the car to do the regeneration itself if required, constant short trips can cause the filter to block. Call us to discuss.
