Dear guests, friends, and followers,
Whilst we are all dealing with the uncertainty of the Coronavirus, we wanted to update you on the precautions we are taking to ensure that our hotel and restaurant remains a safe space for our guests and employees over the coming weeks and months.
... We are pleased to let you know that it is business as usual for us all at The George Washington Hotel, Golf & Spa and Carter & Fitch, Pizzeria, Smokehouse & Bar.
Following the government's announcement yesterday our policy has been adjusted to take account of some of the further guidelines issued, these points are in addition to our existing policy which we have employed and executed diligently.
As always our restaurant maintains the highest level of hygiene, our team receive daily updates on government advice and guidelines, and we have as a matter, of course, increased our cleaning and sanitising of all areas with a team dedicated to keeping themselves and all our valued guests safe.
Above all your health and safety is paramount. We will continue with our rigorous and detailed hourly sanitising regimes of all touchpoints, and in addition, we will be spacing diners in accordance with the given advice of 2 metres where practical.
We would ask that diners understand that this may result in some service delays as we may need to space out dining times during peak service.
For those that cannot join us for a meal in the restaurant, we are offering our #homefromhome takeaway service which means you can still enjoy our delicious menu in your own home. The takeaway menu offers a great range of tasty and nutritious meals with great value in mind and is available from Wednesday the 18th March, from 12 midday through until 9.45 Monday to Saturday and until 9pm on Sunday.
Our Team are 100% committed to ensuring your comfort safety and welfare at all times.
We ask that you take these steps, which are consistent with government advice:
• All guests entering the building please use sanitizer provided, if this becomes short please WASH HANDS for 20 seconds. • Keep your hands clean, wash regularly and thoroughly, for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water. • Please do not come to the hotel/restaurant if you have had a persistent, new cough or a fever (Temperature above 37.8C). Follow government advice and self-isolate for 14 days. • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch all coughs and sneezes and then bin the tissue - then wash your hands with soap and water or use a sanitiser which are provided around all spa areas. • If you think you may have encountered the virus, please follow the government advice and self-isolate in the first instance.
