We visited your wonderful shop last October and tasted a few gins. Looking forward to coming back again this year and relaxing in the courtyard.

Walked over the hill from Grange over Sands last week straight into this wonderful 'cellar of delight'! If you had asked me at breakfast if gin tasting was on the days agenda I would have said "if only". We were in the lakes for heaven's sake, more a place for a '5 Peaks Challenge'. But as it happened we were set for the '5 Gin Taster' with we assume David and his expert knowledge.

Needless to say we took a souvenir away! Well at least the next day as we didn't want the risk dropping the bottle on the remainder of our walk. When we collected it Bob helped us with accompaniments for our picnic from the excellent cheese shop in the yard opposite with 2 mini bottles of the House Sangiovese and plastic glasses!

When it is so cold and miserable outside and you walk into a place like this .. wow ’┐Į.. awesome ’┐Į decor was fabulous, service was fabulous and the wine snug room with gorgeous fire ’┐Į just made me melt !!! Loved the selection of wine and drinks ... and the wine machine ’┐Į fantastic!!!!

Really lovely place to visit and the owner friendly and amazingly helpful. Loved visiting this place and sitting in the yard having a couple of nice glasses of wine can't wait to go back again next year

After browsing around the shop and marvelling at prices ranging from very low to ┬Ż1500 for a bottle of cognac, David the owner came over and offered his help, he helped us select a very nice bottle of red, then we got talking about whisky, I got to taste a bourbon I had never heard of but was the first distillery in kentucky leading to Jim Beam and Jack Daniels distilleries and very good it was too and onto a lovely bottle of single malt. We had a really nice chat and walked away with 3 bottles that suited my tastes without paying over the odds (I could have bought lesser quality drinks in our supermarket at a similar price). Well worth dropping in if you are in the area, you can even have a nice glass of wine from the very good wine machine which will allow you to purchase a glass of fine from a temperature controlled cabinet that stops the over oxidisation of the wine so every glass is as it should be. Handy with cheese and bread shops next door :)
