About Cas - Current Affairs Society

CAS is an academic society which aims to promote current affairs across different academic fields, to provide an environment for stimulating debate and discussion and to facilitate encounters with experts from a variety of practical and academic fields.

Cas - Current Affairs Society Description

The Current Affairs Society (CAS) is one of the oldest societies at the University of Kent, founded in 1965. This year CAS has been through major changes, and it will bring the most interesting and inspiring speakers to Kent. The topics of the monthly events will be broad, in order to cover a wide range of matters that reflect a wider range of students, and collaborate with more societies. This year’s speakers include Current and Former Presidents, MPs, NGOs spokesmen, Journalists and many other inspiring and mind opening personalities. As CAS is an academic society, all Politics and International Relations’ students can attend each meeting by just subscribing to the society.

To stay updated with the latest news and events, we strongly recommend you to follow us on twitter (@CASSocKent) and Instagram (cassoc) too.
