Casey Fields Farm Shop At Vicars Game Description

Vicars Game Ltd has been supplying farm shops, restaurants, butchers and other outlets for over 100 years. Casey Fields is the farm shop at Vicars Game in Ashampstead, and has expanded rapidly in recent months. At Casey Fields we offer all manner of fantastic products, from wild local game to freshly made pies, local beef, pork and lamb and cheese and fish: we have a huge range of high quality produce waiting for you! We hold large stocks of beef, pork, lamb, poultry, game, bacon and sausages and with our vans in Smithfield Market every night, we have access to a vast range of extras including deli meats and cheeses. All of our sausages are made on site, hand linked and use only the finest quality meat. We produce over 50 different flavours and regularly make over 2 tons a day. Our bacon is dry cured on site and is quite simply, the best. Our black & white puddings are all home made to a our own recipe. We also have a smoke house where we cure our own wild boar and venison fillets to produce a wonderful sliced, ready to eat delicacy

Following yesterday’s post about roast beef, here’s an interesting thing. Many, many different recipes can be found for Yorkshire Puddings. I’ve been selling meat for twenty years and here is the best recipe I’ve ever seen for them. This is the one I’ve been telling customers to do for years. It’s from the BBC website- and it’s absolutely spot on. They ALWAYS rise up. I think the secret is the four eggs.

Open tomorrow and pretty much everyday, where you can find the very best beef that money can buy. Twenty-eight day aged on the bone (at least) and dripping with flavour and succulency. This is beef that no supermarket could ever stock. And we’ve got it available every single day. Come and see us, we will make you very welcome.

Last few days of the pheasant season so if you’d like to get your fresh oven ready birds in the farm shop then now is the time. Pheasants are a good size this time of year and make a wonderful casserole to warm you on these cold evenings.

Today is Burns Night, the 25th January. We still have 1lb MacSweens haggis available fresh in the farm shop today. Open 8am until 5pm.

User

Open tomorrow for all your meaty needs. Why not try our pork? The most succulent and tasty cuts, all sourced from Royal Windsor Farms... This belly slow roasted is fantastic.

User

A full range of MacSweens Haggis available now for Burns Night. In store now. And all fresh.

Open tomorrow from 10am to 4pm. Why not pop down and try our cote de beouf? Rib eye steak on the bone. This is one of the best steaks you can buy- and with the bone you get even more flavour. Twenty years in this trade and I’ve eaten every cut of beef you can imagine- this is the best :)
