Oral (mouth) cancer - not common?!
Think again - it affects more people than testicular and cervical cancer! Almost 7000 people will be diagnosed in the UK this year alone. A complete cure is often possible in 90% of cases - if found early.
Get your family members to have regular checks with their dentist (we promise we don't bite, our patients might!) and let's raise awareness for oral cancer awareness month

Its another week of summer sun. The heat might not be for everyone. But we have a great summer offer for teeth whitening for only £100 for the whole of July. Call us on 01217302277 to find out more.
This photo was taken at my graduation (dare I say it!) 8 years ago! My older brother Ruhel, had already started working at Castle Bromwich Dental Care for years before then as an associate dentist before we took it over as ours. I have to say, we're lucky to be two brothers who work together and I love the practice and the area. Some of the staff have been here longer than us and the family feel is the reason I love my job!
Congratulations class of 2018! I recently completed a dental implant course over 9 months which resulted in a trip to Cairo. We spent days upon days putting in implants into our lovely patients with results that made me smile just as much as them! Some of my patients had missing front teeth for whole lifetimes and would be very emotional at the end result.
At the end of the course we managed to see some of the sights including the great pyramids of Egypt where this picture was taken. The Egyptian people are wonderful hosts, so friendly and warm I am back now enjoying similar weather in castle bromwich (well, almost) providing implants. If you’ve been wondering if an implant is right for you, come in for an assessment (and some more holiday snaps)
Thanks to the wonderful patients we have at Castle Bromwich! We are a family run business who enjoy seeing our patients with happy and healthy smiles. We greatly value your trust and confidence with us.
If we can be of assistance please call the girls at reception on 0121 730 22 77
Having a healthy well balanced diet and lifestyle is soo important minimising the sugar in our diet. Sadly the BBC article is true. Its so important for kids to have regular check ups so that we can catch things.

Think back to when you last flossed? A roll of floss should last a person one month - just like a roll of toilet roll. If you have bigger gaps in your teeth you can use interdental brushes instead of floss. When you first start flossing your gums may bleed a little but this will stop as your gums become healthier.
We should be flossing daily from the age of 12. This may sound like more work but remember that floss is cheaper than dental work!
Each tooth has five surfaces - i...f you don't floss you are leaving at least two of the surfaces unclean. Flossing does the remaining 40% of the work needed to remove sticky bacteria or plaque.
Smile :)

Calling all parents!
Print out this weekly brushing schedule for children to give positive reinforcement when they brush their teeth twice daily - good habits from a young age are proven to stay with us as we get older. Remind children that brushing removes sticky bacteria called plaque that can make holes in our teeth and can cause pain and even teeth to fall out.
If you feel generous, you can offer a treat at the end of each completed week.
... Remember: prevention is better than cure

Happy new year from the staff at Castle Bromwich Dental Care! We are open as usual from Tuesday 2nd January
The big thaw is on the way! We are open and running as usual. But please call us on 0121 730 2277 before you set off
Amazing!!! Good job guys!
In interest of public safety as well as our staff. Unfortunately our practice will be closed for Monday 11th December. If in the need of an emergency appointment please contact NHS Direct on 111 or DenPlan members can call 0800 844 999
Heres a useful tip this morning. Brushing your teeth twice daily is paramount. However its best avoided immediately after a meal as the environment inside the mouth becomes acidic softening the enamel. Rather you wait 30-45 minutes before brushing because thats how long it takes to neutralise the acids!
