Castle Green

Castle Green is a £30million PFI (Private Finance Initiative) Joint Service Centre.

Castle Green Community Centre is run by Jo Richardson Community School and managed by Nadim Mea. The Centre is owned by the contractor, Bouygues UK (BYUK), who constructed the building.

At Castle Green a number of borough services are based on one site. These include:

- Children’s Centre
- Catering Services
- Cleaning Services
- Jo Richardson Community School


The Centre opened on 3 /4 September 2005 and provides a range of community services throughout the day and weekend. With such a mix of different clients the programme is constantly changing and developing.

In line with Council policy, Castle Green is a ‘no smoking’ building.
