Wine Wednesday was a delight....it did not disappoint, £20 was a bargain, I’d have happily paid more. I’ll tell all my friends and will return!

We booked for Friday night dinner as the menu was quite varied. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the live music. The staff were all excellent and I really recommend as a place for casual but excellent food, great service and a good vibe

Had a lovely meal was quite noisy when we arrived with the Friday post work crowd but quietened down once the excellent guitarists started playing.

Had a lovely meal in comfortable surroundings with very attentive staff , manager came and introduced himself to us and made us feel very welcomed will definitely be back .

Good atmosphere good food friendly staff waiter (chris ) exellent service..sunday roasts are exellent.

Couldn't fault the place really. I went for Wine Wednesday with my partner. Great vegetarian options, starter and main and a bottle of wine = £20. Lovely staff and service, tastefully decorated and a great location. Would highly recommend.

Came here twice over the weekend and was fantastic both times.I was on my hen do and they were accommodating for all 15 of us. It was not an issue to come in none offensive tshirts and sports gear as we were heading to the Mersey games after. Asked us to pre order and service was brilliant and very smooth. The next day we came back ( 11 of us this time) they still welcomed us as a group without booking or pre ordering and service was still great.

Brilliant food, drinks and music. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The best bar on Castle Street easy.

Booked here through Groupon for the Sunday lunch. Whilst the option for the main is limited to one dish (chicken in our case) we also chose to have a starter. Absolutely cannot fault the food. Was served quickly, and was delicious. The singer was an additional bonus, creating a very chilled out Sunday afternoon. The place has a very nice feel to it, the staff are very friendly and chatty. Will definitely be returning.

Attended Castle Street for Fathers Day, food was brilliant, we had a group of 10 and all dishes where perfectly cooked, the staffing where polite and observant and attended all our needs as we can be a fussy group. Would highley recommend!!!

Just stoooed off for an evening drink after a meal out. It was the music and the outdoor seating area that attracted us to the venue. It’s supoosed to be a cocktail bar but they couldn’t provide a Brandy Alexander because they didn’t have the ingredients and the Mojito was made with the wrong kind of rum. Otherwise it’s a great place to sit and watch the world go by. The DJ played some fabulous mixes of top hits.

Called in after work. Great early evening buzz. Great live background music so you could still chat. Just wish they had proper Erdinger Weiss glasses (you cannot drink from the bottle) - would be perfect ��

Been to Liverpool many times but first visit here ! Fab g&t on a sweltering day ! Friendly staff

Staff were brilliant, really helpful.. parfait and prawns very nice but we both had steak and it was VERY chewy! We ended up bringing it home for our dog 😂😂 we got the offer so was around £15 for the ribeye but with amazing competition for steak very close by I think upping your steak game is needed haha! Will go again and try something different though! Hopefully that's better..

Lovely for a drink, we had the Summer menu last night but the steak was chewy and not enough peppercorn sauce. Starter was nice though and nice environment, sides of seasonal vegetables need to be a big bigger! We got the special offer but would have been disappointed if we paid full price. Would go back for a drink but probably not for food! Sorry townhouse but we have nicer steak at home!

It is a nice venue, 11.30am so we had breakfast menu, only us two in there, I ordered eggs Benedict with brown soda bread and latte my partner ordered full English with white soda bread toasted and poached eggs, I got white soda bread toasted, she got brown toasted soda bread and fried eggs, so we swapped toast and eggs we had to ask for butter and then again because only very small amount. It was nice but considering only us two there don't know how the order got mixed up.

Came here today for a Christmas afternoon out was great atmosphere and good drinks. Ordered nibbles and were very disappointed that this in picture was nearly twenty pound worth of food. When we were asked if everything ok we were told that if order main meal get one croquette for 7 pounds but if having nibbles you get two. So another croquette arrived. That seems strange anyway but for nearly twenty pounds we got three slices of bread and dip, 10 small chips, some festive sprouts and two pulled beef croquettes. Quite ridiculous prices vs quantity of food and what a shame to let down a lovely place, staff and atmosphere. Excuse was as it was a starter portion, I felt sorry for staff member trying to explain. We certainly won't order food here again.
