Great site with beautiful views of Derwent Water. Friendly and professional welcome on our arrival. Good sized pitch for our motorhome- gravelled and separated from our neighbour by a small hedge. We were next door to the toilet block which didn't bother us- it was very convenient! Toilet block was really clean and warm. Good sized shower cubicles with bench area to put clothes and hooks. Possible to walk down to Keswick but it is a longer walk than the website states due to a bridge being damaged on a more direct route. Lady in the shop was helpful and we bought a few bits from there. Had takeaway pizzas from the on site restaurant which were really good. Our dog was welcome in the shop and restaurant. A great site in a beautiful location!

Great campsite with absolutely first class facilities. I think you should judge a campsite by is toilets and the toilets and showers here are excellent. Its dog and children friendly but with clear sign posted rules so everyone should be able to get on with each other. Great views from the campsite and very near Keswick.

We are just home from our second camping trip at Castlerigg Hall and we can't wait to go back next year for our third. My husband, 7 year old daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic time. The facilities are super clean and the recreational field was fantastic for our ball games (dogs were not allowed on this part of the site). The staff were friendly and helpful if you needed anything. I really liked that tents were not encouraged to squash together (5 meters apart) which gave you a nice sense of privacy.
Many thanks to all at Castlerigg Hall, your hard work and dedication to the site really makes this place the beautiful gem that it is. We would recommend it to anyone. See you again next year.

Had an amazing stay here! It's the nicest campsite I've been to. Very reasonably priced given the quality of facilities e.g. An amazing shower block that is heated and with showers you don't have to pay extra for. The staff were really friendly lovely and it's all very well looked after. Only tiny thing I'd do differently is not camp so near the shower block- the lights are really bright and on all night! So go down the hill if you do camp. Rally recommend it.

A fantastic caravan and campsite in a fantastic location with with jaw dropping views, the site is in immaculate pristine condition from showers to toilets, there is even a fog wash, campers kitchen and bar, we camped for 2 nights in a tent 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs, my only gripe was the price £75!! I thought this was a little on the expensive side, how ever I would like to visit again but in our caravan, if your looking for a 5* park this is for you.

great place but pricing structure seems all wrong for tents and will drive them away, cheaper for 2 people to come with a motor home or tourer than a tent and they get electric hook up and private parking for themselves, 10 weekends for tents are classed as peak yet only 4 for motorhomes etc, very strange especially when voted CAMP site of the year , Best CAMP site in north west , £4.25 high season and £4.50 peak, and most times it hard to park as no space , come on mr jackson , its a fantastic place but prices going up and up and moving away from campers

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities (shop, toilet block, campers kitchen) and a bar and restaurant on site. Great views over Derwent Water towards Catbells. Keswick is a short walk down into the town (20 minutes). The return journey is slightly more challenging as it is uphill all the way. The local taxi services are pretty good at getting you back for a not unreasonable fee. If you really want some stunning views then it's just a short walk up to Walla Crag for a commanding view over Derwent Water.
