Having been recommended Bower and Bailey Solicitors and Mortgage Advice Bureau by Castles Estate Agents I can honestly say I have been very happy with the service me and my partner have received. Both have provided excellent customer care and I have already recommended them to friends.

Castles have been excellent in the sale of my house, it was on the market within 24 hours and had viewings within a day of it being online, the house sold in less than 1 week of being on the market and all the staff I met on viewings and in the office were very professional and lovely. From that point I was kept up to date with everything that was going on between castles, mine and the buyers solicitors so I knew exactly what was going on at all stages which certainly puts your mind at rest. I couldnt have asked for better service or a smoother sale, I am so impressed with the service I received I would certainly come to castles again with any future property needs.

This about a sale or letting but about one of their abandoned for sale boards that I spoke to them about....it's still here guys.....

The worst estate/letting agents we have ever used!



Firstly they are rude, pushy and rarely listen.



We sold our property through Castles, what a polava. Days before our sale was due for completion we found out that the offer we had accepted was completely different to the buyers offer, by a long way. The agent that was dealing with our sale was subsequently dismissed from the company, so we can only imagine what he was up to. As a result we had to accept a lower offer as it was so close to our move date.

Stupidly, we had found a property to rent with Castles and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.

On the day we moved into the property we had to spend the day cleaning as the house was unhygenic, even though it had supposedly been professionally cleaned. We had the usual problems with any house, boiler breaking down, electrical faults, even a downstairs flood, but when contacting regarding the problems we were met with rude comments such as "I have thousands of customers and you are not a priority".

Eventually we were told that the owner was selling the property 2 months before Christmas 2017 and we should look for somewhere else to live as it would be sold in 8 weeks.

That was great for our young family.

We moved, had the house professionally cleaned, pointed out problems all whilst Castles continued to pester us for viewings and bringing potential customers around to view the property.

After 3 weeks of hearing nothing regarding our deposit, and making several calls to Castles, we were told that the owner was unhappy with the state of the house, even though it is cleaner than on our move in date and they want to charge us £230 to have it cleaned again.

Anyway, the house didn't sell and is sat derelict now, with the owner making no rental money over the Christmas period.



In my opinion I would steer as far clear of Castles, for selling or renting a property, as possible.

I v been with this agency to rent a flat .... all i can say about them is these people are ignorant, useless, unprofessional and irresponsible. I would never recommend this letting agency to anyone, so please stay away from them!
