CAT Driver Training started trading in January 2005 and it embodies the vision of our chief instructor, Colin Hoad. Colin is one of the most highly qualified instructors in the UK in terms of his motor industry credentials and experience. He has been referred to as the leading authority on vehicle dynamics in the country and his knowledge has been recognised by a number of automotive publications leading to a seat on a panel of experts for a leading UK motorsports magazine.
CAT Driver Training is the only driver training facility to be based inside the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. If you're not familiar with Millbrook - it is one, if not THE leading vehicle testing ground in the UK.
Here at CAT Driver Training, our objective is to be the UK's leading centre of excellence for driver development. Our clients range from the ordinary, everyday driver through to seasoned race professionals. It was our pleasure to welcome back Harry last week. You may recognise him from one of the films on our website :-) 5 years since he took his multi day training programme, Harry returned for further advancement in his driving knowledge & technique. Enjoying a bespoke evaluation course, it was great to catch up on a personal level with his life & career progression in Asia.
Steven returned for his Grip Limit for Track course, after enjoying his Over Grip Limit Handling cou...rse the week prior. Now his technique & processes are embedded, he is comfortable driving at grip limit with precision. Next stop Bruntingthorpe before heading to a track day.
Angus took our dual venue advanced driver course - Advanced Control on Friday. Exploring his BMW's dynamic limits within our Millbrook home - he chose CAT as the authentic company delivering true dynamic driver training. The afternoon saw him apply his new knowledge, technique & understanding to transform his road driving. We look forward to welcoming Angus back for Optimisation in the near future.
Iain enjoyed his 3 day Driver Development motor industry course on the road, relevant for his job responsibilities.
