It has been aaaaaaagggggges since we had a reason to have sarmale and having friends over gave us just the excuse we needed. Sarmale are my favourite Romanian food by far.

1ÔłŹ‚É£ Firstly it‚Äôs the sausage, it‚Äôs a recipe that has been passed through @petryk_petre family and originated somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains, it‚Äôs pork and beef and packed full of different flavours, oodles of garlic (mainly to ward off vampires in Transylvania), paprika, caraway, basil, black pepper and a few secret ingredients...
2ÔłŹ‚É£ Secondly it‚Äôs the bread. @pinklanebakery Make the most delicious, soft sourdough seeded b...uns for us. I have at least 3 most days ‚ėļÔłŹ
3ÔłŹ‚É£ Then it‚Äôs the toppings, we have a base of crunchy, fresh Rom‚Äô ‚Äėslaw and our homemade pork scratchings (often from the same pig as the sausages) and crispy onions, a sprinkle of spring onions for extra zingyness and plenty of sweet Romanian mustard all come to together to make our dog SUPER!!!
We have two more events this year where you can judge for yourself just how super our dog is. We’ll be back @grubmcr On Friday and Saturday at #gibsidenationaltrust @nationaltrust on Saturday evening.

Had a Catalina’s kebab at the Flash House brewery. Revaluing. Not sure which is better the food or the beer. Really impressed.

Gorgeous food, so many lovely flavours. Amazing takeover at the Staiths.

Booked for my event in May, 300 people in attendance. Feedback from everybody was fantastic, couldn’t fault the food. Was a pleasure dealing with Catalinas Newcastle. Highly recommend.
