Summer Screens is live!
The team behind the successful, Cult Screens open-air cinema, a brand we have worked with for years, approached us to refresh the brand for 2019. Their new business strategy meant they needed a fresh look for the company and were relaunching as Summer Screens. The project required a full rebrand, visual identity and website.
The website development was extensive. At the core of the website, we created a bespoke event management system building a custom... plugin that enables the team to create new events, edit dates and change any of the events to ‘sold out’ very easily. We included a multi-purpose venue management system, meaning the web manager can easily add or edit venues as well as assign film showings to a venue at the click of a button. The versatile system allowed for efficient, streamlined multi-event control with very little effort.

At Catalyst, we’re very into our exponential technology. W3W, or what3words, is something we’ve been interested in for a while – and it’s right up our street, so to speak. It is a geocoding system that splits the planet up into 57 trillion different squares of 3 metres by 3 metres. Each square has its own unique address made up of 3 dictionary words – for example, the front door of our office is located at shaky.glue.leaps.
