Catch 22 Fishing Centre Description

First Class, Modern Complex.
Catch 22 Fishing Centre is home to stunning fish and is set in the remote Wensum Valley.
Nicely tucked away in the Norfolk countryside we look to offer and maintain a quality packed fishery. We are forever forward thinking on how we can make anglers' stay better and how we can improve on fish safety /welfare.
We offer a range of ticket options to anglers to suit any budget. Whether you enjoy carping, fishing for roach, bream, pike, tench or perch we have a ticket for you.
These reasons and more have made Catch 22 one of the UK top ten fisheries as voted by readers of Big Carp magazine in 2016 and 2017.
How Many Lakes?
We have two lakes on site. One is a Day Ticket Lake of 23 acres, which has 31 bankside swims, island swim and peg 32 and the other; No. 2 Syndicate Lake of 4 acres, which has 16 swims.
Do I have to book?
Not if you're wanting to fish on a bankside swim, you just turn up on the day. The Island swim and Peg 32 have to be booked in advance,
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit /debit cards. We have a portable card machine so are able to take card payments from the bankside.
Facilities:
Tackle Shop: Large range of tackle and bait on site. We're sponsored by Mainline Baits so we can offer their baits as a great price. Also check out our online store: www. catch22fishingcentrestore. co. uk for some great deals.
Breakfast Cafe: Famous for it's tasty cooked breakfasts, Cafe Catch sources local produce to make it's mouthwatering menu. Try the 'Belly Buster' if you're man enough!
Dip and Rinse Tanks: On arrival all anglers must dip and rinse unhooking equipment i. e. cradles, landing nets. Help keep the deadly KHV virus at bay.
Otter Fencing: Erected a number of years ago, the otter fencing goes around the entire fishery, approx 40 acres, protecting fish stocks.
24 hour surveillance cameras and gate locked at night: We take security very seriously, after all we want to protect our precious stock the best we can! We also want to give anglers' peace of mind when on site.
Holiday Lodges: Two Scandinavian style Holiday Lodges for short or long term bookings.
Toilet /Showers: We have indoors showers and toilets and also toilets situated around the Day Ticket Lake. All are cleaned on a regular basis and the indoor ones are warm for the winter months. Showers are used on a token basis, which can be purchased from the tackle shop.
Drinking Water: There are drinking water points situated:
Near the dip /rinse tanks.
At the side of the toilet wall situated between peg 22 and 23.
At the side of the toilet behind the bay area.
Quad service: An invaluable service if you don't fancy pushing your barrow to your swim.
Fish stocks: Stunning carp known for their strong fighting ability imported from the Netherlands by MAFF license in 1992 and 1994. A couple of thousand were brought over to the UK. 65% were commons and the rest made up of mirrors, leathers and linears. The carp are a Germanic and Royal Italian strain based on classic river carp, hence their length and capacity for growth.
The Day Ticket Lake holds 5 known forties, 70 thirties and a good head of twenties and upper doubles. It's also home to specimen pike to 40lb, bream to 20lb, tench to 14lb, roach to 4lb and perch to 5lb.
The No. 2 Syndicate Lake has a fantastic number of thirties. 60 carp, 3 /4 of this number being 30lb- 49lb. Smaller carp under 30lb were put in lake from our stock ponds 7 years ago. There are also roach to 4lb, huge tench to 14lb, rudd, perch and a few pike that go to 30lb.
The Day Ticket Lake record is currently held by Lee Nobbs with a 45lb 9oz mirror.
The No. 2 Lake record is currently held by Keith Williams with a 49lb 1oz common.

Thanks to everyone that has been donating to the British Heart Foundation 'Bag It, Beat It' Campaign. We have another 20 bags that will be collected by the Norwich BHF Shop and we'll be continuing to support the campaign for the rest of 2019. Each bag on average is between £7 - £10, so a possible £200 will be donated on this occasion. If you have any clothes, shoes, books, dvd's, bric-a-brac you'd like to donate, please bring it along to our tackle shop and we'll bag it up for you or the BHF bags are available from us, if you'd prefer to fill the bag yourself.
