The Catch Story… so far

Passionate about supporting our declining fishing industry and doing our bit in protecting the diminishing fish stocks, Catch set about giving customers excellent food, whist supporting local fish markets.

We first started on the Isle of Wight in 2008, working to help raise the profile of fishing in the West Wight, through selling the now legendary Festival Fish Finger Sandwich at Bestival, made entirely from the catch of the Yarmouth Fishermen’s Association (now the Needles Fishermen’s Co-op, a bone-fide co-operative).

At the beginning of 2012 Catch began manufacturing fish cakes, crab cakes, crab bisque and many other fish delicacies for the retail and restaurant trade, under our Catch label, supporting local fishing.

Now sourcing sustainable fish from along the South Coast, Catch is a regular favourite at farmers markets across Hampshire, and supplies wholesale to restaurant and shops across the region.

Always conscious of producing the finest handmade produce possible, Catch won a Great Tate Award in 2013 for its Proper Posh Crab Bisque and has scooped another in 2014 for its fishcake ’The Colonial’.
