The Hiking for the Homeless team have completed their 3 peaks challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 23 hours 45 minutes! This was no easy feat but it was worth it for all the generous donations they have received on their Virgin Money Giving page. You can help them reach their total by visiting here- (all donations go directly to Catching Lives)- https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/…/3Pea ksChallengeforCatchi…

A group of workmates at Dover District Council will be attempting to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge on 14th June 2019, climbing Ben Nevis (4,413 ft) in Scotland, Scafell Pike (3,209 ft) in England and Snowdon in Wales, all within 24 hours.
There are 9 team members in total, which includes 7 walkers and 2 drivers. They will start their journey with Ben Nevis on Friday 14th, before driving to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and then finally facing Snowdon at the end of the challenge.

Felicity's Ultra-Marathons update! Felicity has completed the Jurassic Coast challenge (one of the 5 ultra-marathons she is doing!). Her thoughts on this are below-
"This was definitely one of the most physically and mentally challenging things I have ever had to do. High winds and torrential rain only added to an already very difficult challenge. It was tough. Really tough! A gruelling 15 hours and 13 minutes brought me in at 44th place (11th in the female category). Not ba...d out of the 554 who managed to finish. (Sadly 209 did not).
There were times when I wasn't sure if I would get through it and for the first time there were tears of joy at the finish line. I’d love to put my feet up, but with only three weeks until the next challenge, I’ve got to recover keep the fitness level up!"
Her fundraising page can be found below and here- https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Felicity Elms

National Volunteers Week was last week so we are a bit late (!) but this week we are going to highlight a different one of our brilliant volunteers each day of the week.
Today is George, who has been volunteering in our kitchen for a couple of years now and is also one of our trustees. Thanks for all you do for us and our clients George.
