Catherine Williams is a percussion, piano and music theory teacher who has over ten years experience teaching all age ranges including adults. She offers high quality instrumental music lessons at a competitive price. Along with teaching individual music lessons, Catherine also has experience with coaching and conducting ensembles, African drumming and samba groups, wider opportunities class instrumental teaching and helping students with their school music studies.

Lessons offered:

Children and adults welcome
Percussion: Beginner to advanced
Drum kit: Beginner to advanced. Please note I do not teach jazz drum kit to advanced level
Piano: Beginner to intermediate.
Music theory: Beginner to grade 5

Catherine gained a BA (hons) from Southampton University in 2004 specialising in solo and ensemble performance on percussion. Since then she has worked as a peripatetic instrumental teacher for West Sussex music service, Surrey Arts, several private schools and she also teaches privately in her dedicated music room.

Through Catherine’s work she has taught many individual music lessons and achieved a very high pass rate for music exams. Some of her students have been accepted and studied at music colleges. Catherine has conducted and coached percussion ensembles, wind bands, samba groups and African drumming groups as well as taught class instrumental music lessons.
