Catie'S Cakes Description
I have always had a passion for baking, and was taught basic cake decorating techniques from my mum many years ago. But life got in the way and although I carried on baking cakes (and my legendary brownies) I didn't really decorate any cakes for almost 10 years.
When a close friend asked if I would make her son's Christening cake I decided it was time to brush up on those skills and signed up for a college course, and it reminded me how much I love decorating cakes.
I put the pictures on my personal facebook page and more people started asking me to make cakes for them. I have decided to start this page so I can keep all my cake pictures together, and so my cake pictures don't take over my non-cakey friend's new feeds!

Thank You cupcakes, including my little boy’s bespoke ones (the class is split into 4 groups. each named after a mini-beast - 5 teachers having a box each, plus 2 dinner ladies, and then he announced his 5 best friends ‘needed’ some too! One way of not eating the overbakes myself I suppose 🙈... But how on earth has he finished his 1st year at school already?! 😭)

The sun always shines for George’s birthday week. I’ve made his birthday cakes for several years, and every year it’s been sweltering heat 🙈. He is such a delightful not-so-little boy, it’s worth cooking in my kitchen just to see that magical smile. Happy 8th birthday George!!

Easter eggs filled with madagascan vanilla cheesecake and Lotus biscuits, then topped with Cadbury’s buttons. Because chocolate on its own is just too healthy 🤔🙈
