My name is Celeste 💕 and I have a story to tell I don't have sight But I'm doing real well! 😸👍
... My eyes caused me prolems They were itchy and sore And after some treatment They weren't itchy anymore 👀
After a few weeks I had sore eyes again I kept asking the vet when will you fix me, when!? 😿
After a little more treatment and a lot of TLC I lost both my eyes And I started to see!
I may not have sight But I still love a fuss My future is bright ☀️ But no other pets is a must
I am very pretty But I need a special place Where things don't move much And I can go at my pace
I can't go outside Because well, I can't see But I'm hoping you'll love me And come set me free xx 🥰
**Celeste is a very beautiful girl who needs a VERY special home. She is competely blind. She loves a lot of fuss and attention, but would need to be the only pet in the home with no children. As a blind cat, she will need time to adjust to new surroundings so ideally it would be nice if she had someone at home to guide her along (and to not move furniture around too much!) She's 3 years old and has adapted brilliantly. If you feel you could offer Celeste a home then please contact the centre.**

It's Caturdayyyy!
We've had our fix of catnip and too many 'chocolate' bars, we've eaten all the turkey and the drinks didn't get very far. 🍷🍾 We've had food naps and cat naps and rest, and watched the New Year roll in with the best. 😽🎊

We picked up our two kittens this morning after meeting them yesterday afternoon. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the kittens were brought in from their foster home for us to meet them. Within a hour of being back they were happily running round exploring and playing with our children. They are so confident and happy already and are an absolute delight. Thank you all form The Fenners and Betty and Lola! x

We picked up our gorgeous little kitten Ernest on Tuesday and he is a bundle of joy. Process quick and easy and from first setting our eyes on him to bringing him home was only a couple of days. He’s well litter trained too! Always get cats from cats protection. It’s such an amazing organisation with the loveliest cats x

We picked up Valarian (Pedro) and Lauraline (Poppy) yesterday. Our initial visit was on a Saturday and it was quite busy. Despite this, the staff were friendly and accepting of our ridiculous excitement, especially from my Daughter (6yrs).

We reserved them and were given details of what they would need (food they were on, etc) had to get proof of our landlords permission. We were able to get the letting agents to email this directly and the centre notified us immediately upon receipt of it.

We changed our appointment to pick them up as we couldn't wait. Again the staff were happy to help us with this.

On the day, I went alone to avoid the overwhelming excitement from said 6yr old. We completed the paperwork, immunisation records, details of when their next treatments were due etc, before going to get the cats.

They double checked the microchips and Pedro had managed to lose his, so they gave him a new one and were happy to register both to us, just in case the other one came up on a scan.

All questions were answered with no problems and I got advice regarding placement of the food, litter tray.

A great and smooth experience all round. The kittens have settled brilliantly and Poppy even slept on top of me last night!

We picked up Pandora formerly Giddy on 23/10/17 she is beautiful and has settled in to our lives like a dream and if i cant see her for long i worry and go look for her to see where she's gone. The kids and i love her so much you wouldn't believe and our house without a cat isn't a home.



Thank you so much to the centre staff who couldn't have been more helpful on the day we came down and have still provided advice since she arrived home. We have got a beautiful happy kitten who is a joy to know and watch and who is happy to come seek human company and let you pet her and she purrs like mad. :) xxx

We collected shih tuz now Peaches before Christmas. Shes settling in really well. I would like to give the team at the st Helens branch a massive thank you for being patient with me finding the right fur baby for our family due to my allergies. If we decided to add another one to the family expect us every sunday to cuddle one kitty at a time xxxx

We came to St Helens to view another cat and literally phoned and were invited to visit the same day. We met Shannon who was feeding the cats but she made us feel welcome straight away. The cat we went to see wasn't right for us but we explained what we were looking for and we were given lots of great advice about which cats might suit us. We chose our little Levi (previously Season) the same day and couldn't be happier. I would go back if we ever wanted another cat. The team were lovely and supportive and it really helped to have someone who knows the cat and could advise us. Would recommend!

We adopted our fur baby 3 weeks ago he’s amazing, the staff are fantastic and gave us lots of advice, he was a very happy kitten and very well looked after, the staff do a great job xxx

We adopted Tia 2 weeks ago. I visited the site on several occasions to get to know staff and for them to get to know our family set up. They were great at helping recommending different cats which would suit us. All staff had great background knowledge on the cats and the cats were all very well looked after. I came back for a third visit with my two year old daughter to see which of the cats shortlisted would take to her. Tia came straight out and cuddled her with her arms around my daughters neck. It was definitely a sign. The staff all did thorough screening checks for us and and had a very detailed profile of Tia from both themselves and the vet. Tia has settled at home really well and has been a delight. My daughter is still slowly bonding with her but Tia has been very patient with her and vice versa. Thank you so much to all of the staff at cats protection for helping us to find the cat that is perfect for us. We would definitely recommend you to friends and family.

Staff where really helpful and where lovely to my small son when we where looking at cats. Great website as well, so had an idea of who we wanted before we turned up and thankfully we got him. Lord Kaos (named by my 5 year old son, was Lennox in the shelter) has made a wonderful addition to our family. I have always been a dog person but I don't know how we lived without this cat! Thankfully not living upto his name 😊 x

Staff were very friendly and helpful on every dealing with them. The whole process of adopting our new cat was quick and pain-free. Delighted to provide a home to an adorable cat.

Misty (Mist) has been with us 6 weeks now and we love her so much ��

She has settled in so well and started going out 2 weeks ago, which she loves.

She's a fab mix of cuddles and fun, and now a favourite with the children of the street.

I loved being able to give a rescue cat a home, and she is like a completely different cat now she's out of the pen as she was abit nippy when we first met.... but i'm glad it didn't put me off as it was probably because she was cooped up as she is so active and 'outdoors-y'

I picked up my beautiful cat Rum, who I've adopted today. He sat quietly in the car home, has enjoyed a very cautious exploration round his new home downstairs, & is now sweetly sleeping in his new bed, after nibbling a few treats :) He's beautiful I love him, I'm sure he will settle in very soon with me. Thanku to all the staff at the adoption centre for all the information, support & for the love & care they have for all the cats. A very big THANKU from Rum :) meow xxxx

I made a six hour round drive today to meet one of the gorgeous cats at the St Helens Branch. Despite being closed to the public today, the wonderful team in the office really went the extra mile to facilitate my visit and I was over the moon to go home with a very special little girl! Stacey - now Luna - is the perfect addition to our family...I only wish I could have taken them all home! Thank you so so much for all your help! �� xx

I love this place. My kittys weren't ready to come home straight away and I was warmly welcomed twice a week and allowed to spend as long as I liked locked up with them giving cuddles. The staff are fantastic and their primary concern is the welfare of the animals they look after. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy, happy pet.

Hi we adopted temperance ( Lola ) about 5 weeks ago. She has settle in great. We absolutely love her to bits. She is so good and very cute and loving. Well done to all the friendly staff at Cats Protection for all your hard work. Pictures in comments.

Fantastic Adoption Centre who took in an abandoned cat that it's owners had moved and left behind so my sister Angela Hardman of Little Lever fed and cared for him until they kindly came to collect him a few weeks ago.

"Dusk" is a handsome boy and with him now being reserved I am glad he could be in his forever home soon, I have a rescue cat myself from Cats Protection called Thomas who is now 13 years old they bring so much love into our lives, Thank you St.Helens Cats Protection for all you have done you are all AMAZING!!!

Brilliant centre, the staff and volunteers are professional, friendly and make you feel welcome. They certainly have the best interest of the cats welfare at heart and it shows to members of the public.



The cat we wanted had already found a home but we chose another that will fit right in our new house.
