Went there with my family yesterday for steaks, and everyone loved it. My mum said it was the best steak she ever had. My dad gave a compliment when our table was cleared. I don’t normally see them that vocal about how much they liked a meal. Will recommend it and will definitely go back again.

Visited last night & the food was delicious! CAU is now definitely on the list of our favourite restaurants.



Only one negative - please please update your online allergen menu. The information in there is incorrect & does not link with the current menu. For example the chocolate brownie is listed online as being nut free but in the restaurants it states it contains an almond crumble. However our server was very helpful & did check the allergens for us

This was the best steak I have ever had in Manchester! The staff and management were very helpful and couldn’t do enough to make sure you had everything you wanted. Service was prompt and food was served hot! Can’t wait to go again �

Lovely food with the best service. I spoke to 3 members of staff during my visit. They were all so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend booking as it fills up quickly. I had a milkshake and classic burger. Both were delicious. If I am nearby again, I would love to visit and try some of the steaks.

I took my Grandson to CAU and I have to say it was the most pleasant and enjoyable experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

The staff were amazing and extremely attentive. Wonderful professionalism in looking after myself and Grandson. (Even the Chefs came and said hello to my little man) It's these little things that made it such a brilliant experience.

I had the lomito, it was cooked to perfection, best steak I've ever had! I'm sure my Grandson agreed as he finished his entire steak too.

We were both served homemade strawberry milkshakes. We couldn't get enough!

For dessert my Grandson had vanilla ice cream, no compliments :)

Would definitely go back again!

I only had a classic burger .. but seriously it was the BEST burger I have EVER tasted. Definitely returning to sample the rest of the menu !!

First visit last night and the rump was the best ever. It was so good we intend to go again. Caramel pancakes were delicious too. Loved the badges on staff explaining that they were in training. Loved it all.

Came here for a Sunday lunch and I have to admit the food was mouth watering. I had a spicy beef empenada as a starter and a 380g medium rare rib eye steak as a main and both were skilfully seasoned to pefection. The service was swift and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will definitely be making a second visit!

Came for NYE dinner, no res but the staff were so helpful and sat us instantly! Our server Macarena was beyond lovely and very helpful! 10/10 would come back for the food and especially the service

Booked a table for 10 just before we were heading to Soccer Aid, food was fantastic especially those of us that had steak. We would definitely go again. We were well looked after, the service was great

Beautiful experience. Lomito, best meat i've ever teasted. Fantastic atmosphere. The plus was in the attention. Macarena was great, professional, and even when we had a little problem she tooked care about it. We are so grateful. Coming back for shure.

Absolutely amazing. Steak was perfectly cooked and the staff surprised my little girl with an early birthday cake � I would absolutely recommend going here...

Lovely roast beef lunch and my husband really enjoyed the beef stew! Staff were really friendly and for you ladies, the loos were spotless! Great value and great atmosphere.

Lovely meal and I would definitely go again, taster menu was recommended for four people but this was not enough so if you order this you will need more sides. Drinks were quite expensive too.

I'm not normally a steak eater but decided to try out Cau to spoil my partner for his birthday, he loved his sirloin and said it was cooked just right. I stepped out of my comfort zone and had the steak sandwich, perhaps I would've liked it to have arrived a little hotter and the bread a bit more toasted but otherwise it was very tasty. The cornflake sundae went down a treat too. Nice atmosphere, quiet (we went on a Monday night) but not awkwardly so. A little pricey for a regular visit but very tempted by the January offers and lunchtime menu so may well be back soon.

Meat was nice but where’s the rest of it. Spending £20 on a dish I would expect a meal not just meat.

A good pub dinner is far better..

Have been to the cau in Bristol and had great experience, went to this one with three mates, we ordered starters which were great, I can highly recommend the fish tacos!

For mains we ordered the steak platter for four, we asked for all the steaks to be cooked medium rare, two of the cuts were rare and the other one the heart was still beating!

Service was great and we got a discount on our bill.

Reading other reviews it seems that as a steak restaurant you would expect the chefs to know how to cook a steak to perfection, this does not seem to be the case all the time!

Decent place! I don’t eat beef, so probably this opinion has limitations, as that is the staple. For the rest, so so , and a bit pricey
