I am not happy with the service this time
Our room was cold the radiator wasn't working and nothing done about it.
We were left waiting to get a drink after visiting the spar. Two staff on reception but no barman.thought this was high class hotel.
Bath in our room
Needs replacing .
Then we were over charged
What was supposed to be relaxing turn into a stress weekend.no apologies or money refunds.
Food was beautiful and the trainee waiter was more than polite and helpful.the waitress I found stressful to watch and very rude to trainee.
The head waiter was lovely
It left us questioning our bill for some time
Very disappointed as this used to be my sanctuary.
Cried today because of the stress

I love this hotel. The staff are kind, friendly and courteous. The food is great. The rooms are very comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous. It is a wonderful place to go for lunch, afternoon tea or to stay over night. You feel transported back to bygone era where good manners and respectable behaviour matter.

Cave Castle is lovely place to relax and we take short breaks there often.The setting is very pretty with nice walks,a lake with ducks and a golf course.The rooms are very traditional and luxurious with antique furniture, four poster beds and large on suite bathrooms.We use the spa and always book a massage.There is a cafe too next door which is very nice.The restaurant food is always excellent too.We would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to relax and 'recharge their batteries'!.

Just had a two day break here. Situated in a lovely setting and just what you need for a relaxing break. The food in the restaurant was lovely, the staff were friendly and courteous and free use of the spa/gym area was great.
The room was spacious, clean and tidy and with tea and coffee making facilities added to the relaxing stay.
Popular wedding venue so a bit busy and noisy at times.
Would stay again.

We booked a short England trip with P&O Ferries and ended up in this beautiful castle in quiet South Cave. This hotel comes with a small spa and golf court and is located about half an hour drive to cities like York and Hull. From the outside the castle looks beautiful, especially during the evening and night. But from the inside it looks rather outdated and this hotel obviously needs some refurbishment. The rooms were clean and tidy, but we were not satisfied with the quality of the bed. The service is good here and also the spa and fitness centre were nice, but I think the rooms need a good upgrade to give this hotel a high score.

Couldnt view wedding area as hoped due to function on. Very accomodating though

Very castle-y if that's what you're after - lots of wood, nice turrets. Popular golf course, nice gardens, good breakfast and helpful staff.

Great hotel, lovely breakfast, full English and continental. Rooms were perfectly decent, and the grounds were excellent.
