About Caveau Restaurant Francais
Come and visit our little hidden treasure in Woolton village and feel transported to rustic France
Caveau Restaurant Francais Description
When L’Alouette closed in 2006, we lost a little fond part of our happy memories.
In the years since, nowhere has quite replaced it,
that was until David Roberts, the man behind L’Alouette, reopened on a different culinary stage
In terms of first appearances, Caveau is rather unprepossessing, inside is far more appealing: a cosy but chic combination of white linen, dark woods and dark leather. Original fireplaces, gilt-edged mirrors and exposed beams lend characterful touches without being self-consciously design-obsessed.
The menu is carefully crafted authentic French dishes with the Table d’Hote option and realistic a la carte prices.
The waitresses are lovely and welcoming, too, as front of house in any good restaurant ought to be.
The Table d’Hote menu at £16. 95 for two courses is exceptionally good value,
Main courses are priced between the £13 mark and just over £20, with all side dishes at £2. 50.
Opening timesTuesday - Friday: 12pm-3pm & 5pm-10pm; Saturday: 5pm-10pm; Sunday: 12pm-10pm
Service: Friendly and well-informed
