... The PTA supports the school and your child in many ways….
1. We raise MONEY and lots of it! Last academic year far we’ve raised over £13,000 and every penny goes back in to enriching the school life of the children here at Cavendish. We hold big events and small events; and we love new ideas
2. We SHOW UP! Movie Nights, Craftenoons, Discos, Bonfire Night – to name but a few of the many events that the PTA run throughout the school year. All activites that give the children chance to have some fun and make memories!
We know how difficult it can be to find time especially if you have small children, we aren’t saying you have to commit to supporting every event but if you can offer to help or support and event in some way that would be wonderful
Example of ways you can help:
Baking – You don’t have to be Mary Berry but if you can bake for one of our events it really helps! 🍰🍪🥧
Volunteering to set up an event or help on a stall – giving a couple of hours duing the day to set up tables. 👍🌟 or a couple of hours during the event. If every parent volunteered 1 or 2 hours of their time throughout the school year we would have enough volunteers to run every event and more!
Jobs from home – folding tombola raffle tickets, wrapping presents for santas grotto, sourcing and collecting raffle prizes, applying for community grants. 🎟️🎫🎇🎄🎃⌚
Helping with advertising, artwork, accounts - Maybe your a whizz on facebook or great with graphics? These are all jobs that some of our fab PTA parents do now and we'd be lost without them! If you think you have a skill or talent that could help or share the load please get in touch!

It is quite likely that Cavendish will have an Ofsted inspection this year 📚! Schools are now given less than 24 hours of notice and most inspections now last only one day. The inspectors therefore have very little time in which to meet with parents to find out our views about the school. To get round this they have an on-line facility called Parent View, which you can access here:

Ofsted now use this as a way of judging parents views on the school so the more parents which complete the questionnaire the better! Let's let Ofsted know how fab Cavendish really is 🌟
