For more than once I had to look for someplace to take my bike to do some minor things. In both I went here, and I must say I was very pleased, mainly with the service. The staff is not only very professional but also very friendly and now it's a pleasure to drop by. That's the beauty of local/traditional commerce.

Fixed my bike and fixed it good.

They BUTCHERED MY BIKE!! - it only needed a new chain and it came out of its 'service' creaking and grinding and making loud knocking noises and is now un-rideable so i will have to spend extra money getting it fixed at Evans - The parts used were low spec and hugely overpriced when i checked them later online and there was no proper receipt. They don't test ride the bike so they hand it over in all ignorance of it being fixed. Complete waste of time and money!! Rubbish!!!

The shop itself is ok, staff are knowledgable and helpful when you physically speak to them but the place is badly run. It's understaffed and they NEVER answer the phone, no matter what the time of day and you can't even leave a message, it's such a pain, I've just taken 2 hours out of my day to get over there to enquire about repairs to a bike they sold me. I tried calling to make sure they were open. No answer as usual but the google listing says it's open so I went. But no it's closed so I've wasted my time. Their communication is so bad that I've actually taken down the number of the carpet shop across the road so I can ask THEM if the bloody cycle shop is open next time i try to take my bike in. To run a business like this is an embarrassment.
