Friendly staff. Clean. Close to the beach. Lodge was great with sea view. Food at the club house a bit poor. Lack of pride I think on the food due to it being the end of season. Would have been nice to have the heating on for when we arrived at the lodge. Small things, but they make a difference.

Caravan was better than expected with central heating and plenty of room. Paths were muddy around the vans. Being off peak not much entertainment on, with the pool only opening for a few hours too. Shop very poor and expensive so do shopping before or pop to one off camp. Nice and quiet, good location, will be going back.

Stayed here in a abbey caravan which was modern and very warm. It was spotlessly clean. The camp is big enough. The only down side was the pool only opened 10-2 but it was low season, and the path at the side of the caravan was covered in mud all the time.

I know that booking a holiday in the October half term you don't expect good weather, you have no control over that but what I would expect is that the condition of the caravan to be of a good standard.
Positive: Cleanliness was very good.
Negatives: We booked what was advertised as an ex Gold Standard caravan, 3 bed 2 toilet Brigg Caravan, this certainly was not Gold Standard, extremely basic.
We booked for 8 in case of relatives joining, there is insufficient pillows.
Storage was woeful for just 4 of us.
Broken side tables, one that was hanging on had written on it in permanent marker do not sit on me.
Carpet in lounge area very poor, there was a patch that had long threads that needed cutting off and there was a bald patch.
There was chunks out of the kitchen work top and floor.
Mould on the back of the cushion backs around the seating area and on walls in bedroom and living area.
Managing how to get hot water is an art form in itself.
Woke up on day 3 of holiday to no water, telephoned the 'fix' phone line, to be told it should be up in 20 minutes for an hour to pass and nothing, tried calling again and it was either busy or not connecting, so tried an alternative number to get through to caravan sales, who were not helpful, after we suggested that perhaps visitors should be informed of what was happening, to be told did we know that there were 450+ on site so how could they tell everyone, not very good customer relations.
We could not brush our teeth, wash or have a drink, so resorted to going out as is to at least be able to go to the toilet etc.
Although there is parking available and there was paving slabs to your caravan door they were not in the same place and due to the rain, what path there was so clogged up with mud that it was impossible to keep any good footwear you may have clean (areas made worse by little buggies used by workers tearing up mud and grass along the paved areas of the part) Areas around the vans were really sodden and would squelch under foot like a sponge, so mud inside the van was inevitable as it was into your cars etc.

Not overly impressed with the overall accommodation, the caravans' need seriously deep cleaning, repair or be replaced with new vans, the pricing of the on site club was more than pub prices, something I would expect to be lower in order to keep families in on site.

No we won't be tempted to use any Parkdene Resort again, based on this experience and would not recommend this site.

The kids loved it and that makes for an excellent holiday for the parents. Between the pool, playground, soft play and beach a few days are fun to while away in whatever weather before you made a start on attractions in the vicinity.

Perfect base for exploring the local sights, great campsite, well staffed and clean caravans and all the facilities you need on a seaside holiday. Been three times now and it's definitely become a favorite amongst the family

Really clean and tidy place. Nice place to stay for any sort of people e.g old people families etc. Lots of things to do on site. Also very good entertainment on a night and a nice place to have a drink. Also slot of things for kids to do on site and also inside the bar area

Not enough for kids to do here during the day if your looking for an all around holiday that caters for toddlers to teenagers here probably isn't the best option. Caravan was lovely and clean staff worked really hard always busy but never to busy to talk. Clean park friendly atmosphere. Close to Scarborough within a bus ride.

We camped here for a couple of days with the family and our dog - good to have a site which welcomes them (dogs !). Our part of the site was on a slope but not too bad when all set up. Toilets and washing up area was good and found to be pretty clean. Spent most of the time out visiting Scarborough and the surrounding area so didn't use the on-site amusements, although on a look-see they looked ok. Had a good shop on site, but it was just a easy to visit one of the large supermarkets each day when out. We really enjoyed the site and area, was the 4 year old Grandson's first time camping and he thought it was fabulous. Would come back camping again. Sorry no photo's, Video'd the stay.

One of the better ones on the east coast but looking tired. Carpets in bars and entertainment tired. Swimming pool was brilliant tho they have spent a few quid there..

Needs a good freshen up. Entertainment staff made it a better experience. Ideal as a Base if you don't mind basic accommodation. Lots to do in the surrounding area.

User

A nice quality park, the staff are very friendly but if you want value for money try the Tow bar across the road. Good food, savings on drinks and entertainment most nights. A great night out for all ages

My family a I stayed for a long weekend, Friday to Monday in a platinum caravan. Nice people nice site and good food and wrap around beautiful scenery. You have got to walk down the hill to the beach. You will not be disappointed. A very pleasant and relaxing stay.
