Our Faculty of Education is dedicated to lifelong learning from early years through to adult education. We have been training teachers for over 50 years.

We are actively helping to shape education practice regionally and nationally, through research and teaching. Our initial teacher education (ITE) programmes have been rated outstanding by Ofsted and are considered to be among the best in the country. We have a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate routes into teaching which all lead to qualified teacher status (QTS). In addition, we run an extensive range of education related Degree programmes from early years to lifelong learning.
