London-based CDC. Craft Design Construction works with artisans, designers and manufacturers in Portugal who use native materials to make traditional items or innovative designs. Materials include the bark of the cork tree, carefully crafted by Studio Corkinho to make cork objects and products, handwoven rugs made from cork and cotton, Elou cork toys, and cork flooring by Amorim Wicanders. Wool is used in the production of traditional and contemporary textile based products, including mantas Portuguesas and children's luxury products. Marble dust is used in the production of hand made hydraulic encaustic cement tiles. We also supply Viroc Cement Bonded Particle Board. Projects range from domestic extensions to commercial refurbishment, including Starbucks UK and Selfridges London. Furniture designers include innovative furniture brand Porventura, and items designed by Álvaro Siza and Souto de Moura.
