Cdc Gambia Description
It is a pleasure and honour to introduce the Campaign for Democratic Change-Gambia, CDC-G, to you as a Gambian or a friend of the Gambia. This umbrella body was recently launched in London; it seeks to serve as a platform for federating the many disparate pro-democracy Gambian diaspora groups operating in the UK and to refocus their efforts for greater effectiveness. The decision to move in this direction was reached after extensive consultations among the local Gambian communities and a constitutive Congress held on 11 May last. It is based on the felt need for Gambians in the diaspora to make a more active contribution to the fight for bringing about democratic change in our motherland.
