My husband and I had our wedding here on Saturday 14th October and wow what a brilliant day it was, Sophie the wedding planner they have here is brilliant and lovely, can not thank her enough. She was so helpful and really put my mind at ease when I was stressing out in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We would also like to say a thanks to Peter the manager, Ben the head chef and all the other staff that were so helpful and lovely, you all really made our day extra special. The food in particular the wedding breakfast was delicious. The suite we were given to stay in on the night of the wedding was amazing we even had a big platter of the evening buffet food left for us. We can not recommend the Cedars for your wedding enough, you get so much for your money and the cost does not break the bank compared to other venues in North Devon and the quality is still top class. Thank you Cedars for making our dream wedding come true. Mr and Mrs Ellis
Here are some pictures of how we decorated and I will try to put more on when we get the photo's back from the photographer as this is something I was looking for when planning our day was other peoples photo's of how they decorated to get ideas.

Had a fabulous meal for our daughters 18th. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent and helpful staff. Could not fault how helpful they were, even when we had to reduce the booking from 29 people to 24 on the day. Would definitely recommend. Some of the party stayed there and had great rooms, really clean and a lovely breakfast.

Easy to find. Quality room. Coffeemaker in the room. Wifi bit odd as it uses some cloud provider that wants all kind of personal info from you, better use your mobile data. Reception and people friendly and warm welcome. Bed very comfy slept excellent!

Great newly refurbished room, quiet, stylish, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom (I had a family room). The majority of rooms are separate to the main building which is really nice as the bar and restaurant look like they can get very busy. Breakfast was okay but just a few little things could make it better......cooked breakfast just not hot enough, no butter (only margarine) and fruit salad fizzy. However, staff were friendly and polite. All in all a good stay.

We stayed in a double room 11/08/17-13/08/17. It was an upstairs room, which was spacious and gorgeous. The room itself was like an open attic room. The bed was more like a super king size - bigger than the king size at home! The mattress was very comfortable! You know you're in a posh hotel when you get little packets of biscuits, and little toiletries in the bathroom. The shower is AMAZING! As the rooms are in a little courtyard, there is absolutely no other noise. No kids running down the hall passed your door, no noisy neighbours - nothing. Staff have all been welcoming, very presentable in their uniforms, and have been very friendly. The breakfast is to die for. It is worth popping in just to have the breakfast (and only £6.99 by the way!). The cold selection is enormous - porridge, cereals, fresh pastries and muffins, fresh fruit, toast. You name it, it's there. Tea or coffee offered immediately on entering the conservatory. And you don't just get the cold selection, you get a hot one too! Full English, or poached eggs, they even offer the fancy Eggs Royale with smoked salmon. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

I have dined at the Cedars Inn in Barnstaple and met there with friends for coffee. I have enjoyed my experience both times. It seems a high end establishment and the staff have always been friendly. It has some lovely features and it's a nice place to wander around.

I love this place. Great food and atmosphere. I had my wedding reception here and it was just perfect, I couldn't of asked for more.

Lovely recently refurbished rooms in a separate building next to the pub. Very happy with the quiet location, walkable into Barnstaple and on frequent bus route. We would stay again.

Lovely quaint place with an up to date feel. Good selection of well cooked food. Pleasant staff. A nice atmosphere great for kids and dogs too.
