I founded MPA a year after I lost my beautiful April. It took that long before I was in a place on my bereavement journey where I felt I could help others. I wanted to challenge all those who said it was 'just a pet'. Anyone who has welcomed a dog, cat, parrot, horse, hamster. . . into their family and embraced that experience wholeheartedly understands.
