Special moment in the Cellar Bar last night. Getting into the Christmas spirit and paying homage to the John Lewis & Partners advert. Locals of the pub all join together for a wonderful rendition of Elton John 'Your Song'

Well what can i say this Sunday was a blast. Great band and dj the place was rocking. Some great choices of gin and real ales. Andy, Nancy, Shauna and all the staff deserves a huge pat on the back you are all amazing. Love the Cellar bar.
Very friendly helpful staff lovely atmosphere. Great start to the ale trail
This is perhaps the best little gem of Batley. Nestled on the hill next to the train station its location means easy access for none drivers. It has a real snug homely feel inside with great local staff who give anyone a true Yorkshire welcome. Despite its traditional surroundings and rustic charm it has a vibrancy contributed to by its highly popular live bands and internet dukebox.
Only been twice but love the atmosphere here plus the big comfy settees
I come here after work like every day and it just has the best atmosphere, the most fantastic beers and ciders on, quiz machine, gambling machine, pool table, juke box. Best pub.
Great selection of real ales, and complementary sandwiches to boot!
Great selection of real ale,the bar staff good fun, best bar on the ale trial loved it.
Great pub, great beer. And i have to say- very professional and friendly bar staff. Good reasonable prices aswell. Would definitely rate this place 10/10!!! :))
Great bar for starting the Rail Ale trail great staff helpful good choice of beers and ales
Fantastic range of Real Ale, had a brilliant time, first port of call on our Real Ale Trail adventure!
Brilliant pub and a great night out. The bar is well stocked with an impressive range of beers to try. Personally I'm a Prosecco girl and they sell it by the glass or bottle at a really great price. Seen some good bands and the atmosphere has always been rocking. A must if on the ale train.
After trailing around batley town centre pubs and bars Hmmmm...say no more....found the Cellar bar by accident and a stone's throw from my daughter house to boot .
Lovely little bar with sky sports , pool /darts....great choice of music on jukebox...live bands ....Budweiser on draught £ 3.10 pint .very friendly and helpful staff ..my local from now on when visiting family.
Absolutely love it in here brilliant to pop in after a long day at uni for a pint. The staff are all so accommodating especially the young lad who is like Tom Cruise (but with glasses) from the film cocktail but better looking!
This was our first stop on the Ale Trail and it was nice...great Ale and lovely Cornish Pasty...would call again...
Staff were great as was the atmosphere, great selection of ales 🍺
Since Andy took over I have found the place to be more welcoming. Excellent choice of real ales at competitive prices. Friendly Bar staff giving good service.
Nice pub with rustic decor and amazingly clean toilets, Nice beers at fair prices, staff were polite and friendly
Great for a game of pool, watch sports whilst you're on the real ale trail.
If it was sparkling water, red bull or other soft drink fair enough but this place charges £2.60 for a SODA WATER....that's 30p cheaper than a beer! Whats wrong with you! ?
