Still one of the busiest piers in Blackpool. Getting old now and could do with TLC. Main sign only had 2 letters working and toilets are only on a use of you dare basis. Machines are getting old and never seen anyone win from a claw machine here. Very busy and noisy. Around 20 percent of the machines didn't work and the whole place just looked tired. Maybe time to spend some money here rather than just on the front as it shows up the beautiful work that had been done to the seafront and makes that part look rather shabby.

Very run down inside but at the end of the pier there are plenty of Pier games to play and you have the fun fair on here as well which is really good for kids. A good day out if the weather is nice.

Brilliant show by hard working performers ...professional and yet such relaxing fun. Thank you to all involved. Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful afternoon on the Central Pier. There was me, my fiance and our toddler and we all enjoyed it. There was loads to do along the pier and there's a great family bar at the end called the Pirate Bar (or something like that). It had a real holiday feel in there where we could have a couple of pints whilst our son had a great time on the dancefloor.
The only negative about the pier is that it's a little worrying how easy it would be for a toddler to climb up onto one of the benches and fall into the sea. This played on my mind quite a lot so I have to score 4/5.

Blackpool lights are fine for someone who didn't see them years ago. In all there glory. A bit of a let down when you go back. But brilliant for anyone who has never seen them before

Central Pier and Blackpool is great for entertainment. Its good for a family day out. It just feels a little run down on the beach front and surrounding areas, especially the buildings. They could do with a lick of paint. With the amount of money that tourism brings in, some should be spent on renovation. Other than that, Blackpool has great entertainment and eateries. :)

Nice busy pier with plenty to do. A good range of rides for all ages. As you enter the pier you can do so through the arcade, however the front entrance you are greeted by steps so wheelchairs can't get through this way. There is however entrance to the pier along both side of the arcade which is flat surface, this can also take you into the arcade via the back entrance. On the pier is your typical game stalls, please be warned they will try their hardest to get you to play, so do so only if you want to, if not just be polite and keep walking past.

Firther along the pier is where you reach the rides, such as the big wheel, waltzes, dodgems and many more. There are small rides for the smaller kids too, so everyone is catered for. They are a little pricey so get a bulk set of tickets and enjoy.

There is also a bar on the pier and plenty of fast food places to eat at.

We live in blackpool and always enjoy a walk on central pier while up town, my kids love to go on a couple of rides, and my 6 yr old is now venturing onto the faster rides which means I get to go on too, bonus.

Photographers will have some great views along the coast to capture some magical memories.

It's looking tired like all the piers these days and could really use a bit of TLC if only someone could invest a few quid. It still has the buzz of excitement I remember as a child and the myriad colourful food, drink and gift stalls and fairground rides make it a perennial favourite for families. Fabulous views of the sea and shore and a great spot for people watching on a sunny day .

It was nice to see the pier very busy. We visited during the day and in the evening. The new family bar reminds me of Morgans in Benidorm. There is a brilliant family atmosphere and entertainment enjoyed by children and families.

If you enjoy tribute acts the King's and Queens of Music show is worth a visit. Excellent evening entertainment.

Very busy pier, plenty to do but crowds are high at the weekend and evenings during the Illuminations. Overfilled (possibly dangerously for small kids at times) and overpriced with plenty of fun things to burn through your money. Made a reasonably quick exit after around 30 mins but worth trying to do it at night to see everything illuminated. Our 3 kids (14, 11 & 6) not impressed with the crowds, especially the youngest who got a bit jostled about, but that's life & part of the experience.

Very popular pier with lots of attractions and things to do. Even has its own pub with entertainment.

Oh dear... The whole pier is in a very bad state of repair. Loads of the deck has been replaced but there's still loads of rotten boards and seats. Doesn't look like it's been painted in about 20 years as it's having off and most of the buildings are ramshackled sheds on the brink of falling down.
Both arcades are crap with very old machines and the fair is massively over priced. The only good points are the cafe and that it's a nice view.
