Central Station

Nice metro station. Inside the rail station which is very handy. Can't complain about anything. Edit: most reviews & photos aren't relevant to the Metro station, they're talking about the rail station.

N.B. Most reviews/photos posted here erroneously relate to the overground train station rather than underground metro station.

Good access to Newcastle Central Station (by escalator/stairs or lift) plus adjoining streets but appallingly dismal makeover with dingy black and blue panelling having replaced the original light cream and yellow ... just as well some comfortable seats - although few in number - have finally been installed and one usually doesn't have to wait very long for a (metro) train!!

Staff very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent train station. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything seems to be very efficient and signage is excellent

Always loved this station from when I was a teenager living up this way. Only passed through today but looks as lovely as ever.
