Centre For Contemporary Art And The Natural World (Ccanw)

Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World is a leader in the arts and ecology movement, working through partnerships to deliver its diverse programmes. Based at the University of Exeter, CCANW offers a way in-which new understandings of the natural world can develop; through contemporary art that explores social, environmental and scientific issues. As society has become increasingly concerned over its place within nature, there has been a growing need for a dedicated organisation to present, encourage and deal with these issues. CCANW aims to create the platform needed. Launched in 2006, it has established itself as the UK's first organization of its kind with a year-round programme of exhibitions, forums and seminars, live events, workshops and artists' residencies.
