The Centre for Research in Autism and Education (CRAE) at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London.

Centre For Research In Autism And Education - Crae Description

At CRAE, we seek to lead research and learning about autism education in the UK and internationally. First and foremost, we conduct ground-breaking scientific research to enhance our knowledge of intervention, education and outcomes for people with autism.

Second, we seek to translate this research into policy outcomes and thus have an impact on the everyday lives of people with autism and their families.

Finally, we are committed to engaging professionals and those directly impacted by autism – children, young people, and adults with autism, their families and friends, and the wider public – about new scientific discoveries and their implications.

CRAE is headed by Professor Liz Pellicano, whose research programme investigates differences in the way that autistic children, young people and adults perceive and interpret the world around them.
