Centre Stage School Of Dance Description
Our dance school has been established for over 10 years originally based at Shavington village Hall. We are now based at Regents Park, London Rd Nantwich.
It has an outstanding record of children achieving in their dance examinations with a 100% pass rate.
Lisa Hitchen (Powis) began her dance training at 5 years old in her local dance school based in Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire.
Throughout her young training she developed a strong dance technique and a real passion for achieving her dance examinations throughout a number of different styles including Classical Ballet, Tap Dance, Jazz Dance and Modern Dance.
Lisa also performed in numerous dance and drama productions from the ages of 5 to 21.
As she gained more experience at 13 she became a student teacher, supporting and encouraging the younger students. As she progressed to the top levels of the grades of the British Ballet Organisation she began her teacher training.
This involved 2 vocational dance courses over a 2 year period based in London. She received the qualifications of Dance teacher training and progressed and achieved the Level 4 dance diploma of which is within the National Qualifications framework.
Since this has been achieved in February 2006 Lisa has been building her school which ran from two centres, 1 based in Shavington and the other at Wychwood Village Hall, Weston.
Her patience and calm teaching styles have produced each and every child to succeed within their own dance capabilities. Children are encouraged to progress throughout the examinations but these are not compulsory.
Lisa has focused on gaining her students a strong dance technique and overall confidence.

Good Morning,
With a very heavy heart I will now be closing the Dance School until further notice. We will close after classes today Thursday 19th of March 2020.
I feel this is the right time due to the advice over social distancing given by the Government and also with the schools now closing.
... Thank you for all your support over this time.
I am going to really miss you all during this time now we are closed.
Its a very surreal time at the moment but we will over come this and we shall be stronger than ever.
The ICONIC show is currently postponed but not cancelled.
I will be sending details out over emails and our social media with updates of how we can Keep Dancing!!

BRAND NEW CLASS STARTING FOR OUR DAINTY DANCERS. We are looking for parents feedback on which day and time would be most popular for a new class to start. We have two available slots which are; Mondays 1.15pm till 2.00pm Fridays 10.00am till 10.45am. Our Dainty Dancers classes are for children aged two years and upwards. Within this class each dancer will be taught the basics of classical ballet and tap dance. These key foundations to a good start in their dance training are... all taught through pretend play and lots of use of our imaginations. Perfect for class for a budding dancer suitable for both boys and girls. First trail class will be free of charge. Once we have a time and day confirmed we shall set a date for when class will start. Please share and pass on details for anyone who is interested.
