The ponies having a bit of a rest after a very busy week. Selva has gone for the brunch in bed option!

Interesting that horses can make you feel better just being around them, they really are such amazing creatures

Fascinating insight into TheHorseCourse and how it was developed, well worth a listen.

One of our great supporters John Stapleton recently passed away and left a request for friends and family to make a donation to Centred Horseplay in lieu of flowers at his funeral. John's generous gift has raised over £450 and has enabled us to upgrade our space so that our participants have a bespoke room to change shoes, sit and have breaks and enjoy the surroundings. We've added this beautiful bench for people to sit and enjoy the sunshine at break times in remembrance of John and his gift. We wish to send our heartfelt thanks to all John's friends and family who helped us to make this happen and send our love and thoughts to you all.

Any high level Parelli students in Gloucester area looking for a career change? We have a very successful, growing hub near Cirencester teaching TheHorseCourse

Preparations are in full swing for courses to start on April 1st, meet beautiful Maisie who will be joining us shortly to help teach the courses this year. If you have a person you would like to refer please contact us; we do have limited funding available, first come first served.

If you are organising a fundraising event or would simply like to make a donation - have a look at our new wonderful.org page, it's really simple to do and every penny you raise goes directly to the charity https://www.wonderful.org/charity/centred horseplay

I know it's been a little quiet on here for a while. The horses and humans have been having some time off over the winter, which gives us the opportunity to concentrate on setting ourselves up for success in 2019. We have been working very hard behind the scenes and I am absolutely delighted to say that we have been granted funding from The Premier League, Children in Need, The Big Lottery, The Don Hanson Trust and we have been nominated by a prestigious law firm in Cirencester as their charity of the year (more details to follow), this means that we have several full and part funded projects being set up for our spring start on April 1st. To find out more about what we can offer you or your clients please contact us.
Feel free to share away and invite anyone you know who may be interested in what we do to like our page.

So proud of this young man

User

I am so proud of this young man, he initially came onto TheHorseCourse in 2016 as a very troubled little boy with a passion for horses. Since then he has been a regular volunteer and Ambassador at Centred Horseplay, he's shovelled tons of muck, groomed filthy horses, he gets two buses to and from home to come and help at the the yard in all weathers and yesterday he performed a demonstration in front of more than 200 people at the Horsemanship Showcase in Bucks with a horse that he'd only met 5 minutes before the demo. He has Heart & Desire in bucketloads, I know he's going to be amazing at whatever he chooses to do and I am so glad TheHorseCourse was able to help him find his way to becoming his best self. Thanks to Organised Equestrian for nominating TheHorseCourse as the chosen charity for the event the raffle raised over £220.

Just look at this drawing one of our young students drew for us of one of the ponies, can anyone guess who it is?

The team at Centred Horseplay have been very busy over the last couple of weeks....last week we helped with this short film for BBC Radio Gloucestershire to show where some of the Children in Need money goes in the county.
We are so proud of the young men who took part in the filming and shared a little of their stories with everyone....and lets not forget the horses; without whose honest and authentic feedback we wouldn't be able to teach crucial life skills like Calmness, ...Assertiveness, Focus & Perseverance and Empathy and have fun doing doing it!
It's such an honour and a privilege for us to be able to help young people develop the skills they need to become their best selves and we have a fantastic team of volunteers and staff that help to make it all possible.
A massive thank you to Children in Need who have provided some of the funding we need so that we can reach more young people.

So......this week in the lead up to Children in Need on Friday, the team here at Centred Horseplay have been invited onto BBC Radio Gloucestershire to take part in a phone in quiz, one person each evening will be talking live at 9.30 pm to Jon Smith; testing our knowledge on things that have happened in the county on that day. Tonight is Jackie's turn - listen in and shout the answers out loud (she says she needs the help)

What a fantastic week, we ran our first family course with a Mother & Daughter referred by the Gloucestershire Families First Team, both of them learning new skills and developing a new found confidence in themselves and in each other. After the course Mum said "I've definitely learned lots of things that will help me with my parenting and we've had a lovely week doing something positive together which we never get to do"

Meet Diago our new horse, he only arrived last week and is already helping one of our young people on a ReStart course this week.
