About Centurion Packaging Limited

Centurion Packaging was founded on Centurion Way in Leyland, Lancashire in the mid 1970's. The business distributed FIBC's, polypropylene sacks and paper sacks. This was along side dedicated packaging for the emerging clothing recycling industry – bale wraps, botany and box bags. Rapid expansion saw diversification into stretch film and wide width polythene in the company's extrusion plant. Centurion Packaging was subsequently bought by MacFarlane Clansman and continued to prosper. In 2001 Centurion Packaging Limited was incorporated when the polypropylene division was acquired by Holrose Limited – the current owners. The company is now based in Golborne, Warrington, Cheshire. Using the historic products as a base Centurion Packaging has flourished. It has expanded into more upmarket sectors and now supplies FIBC's, flat sacks, packaging for recycling and container liners for food distribution around the world. In house custom printing capabilities mean that many of the lighter weight products can be sold with specific company logos if required. There are also facilities for the valeting and repair of FIBC's so that they can be reused. In recent years Centurion Packaging has also established a production sewing unit which can offer bespoke bags and covers, rework and commission sewing.
