Went as a family of 5 with 2 kids. Lovely friendly service and great food selection for the kids. Provided crayons and activity sheets to keep the kids busy while we waited.

Lovely meal here with the family. Table pre booked for 15 of us. The lady who looked after us was so helpful. I had not been for a. Long time but my mum liked it here. So we went to celebrate her life after scattering her ashes. I would go again.

Fantastic food and service.

Surprised to see all the negative reviews which after reading many off them I did not experience anything like they have.

There’s a large selection of foods which the staff helps tweak for us to suit our dietary needs. The staff was very friendly and the prices excellent.

Wish we had this pub on our for step.

I went for my birthday meal.. i had a voucher to give in.

The waitress was good to begin with but we had to go to the bar to order more drinks. The meal was lovely but instead of crushed minted potatoes i had cubed potatoes. My sons fries were cold and dried.

We had to order dessert at the table as no one was around and we had to get back.

When my son went to pay, the cheapest meal was deducted from the bill. Last year i was told it was the birthday meal that was deducted.

I dont think i will bother next year.

I gave a 4 rating as its usually fine

I visited with four neighbours for a girls night out for Christmas. We were seated at a round table which was perfect for five people, the service was excellent and the waitress advised the best deal for the wine 🍷 each course was served leaving time for us the chat between them. The food was good quality and great value for money. We will definitely make a return visit.

Nice staff and pub.

Only ONE choice of a vegan meal.

No starter or pudding I could have. Come on you can do better than that !

User

The Wife and I ordered

Half chicken done in lemon and herb.

I ordered the Lamb rump.

Once it finally arrived the both of us could clearly see the chicken had been sun bathing way too long and the herb dressing was in a lump rammed in the wing.

My lamb rump had been hacked into little pieces and clearly some chunks had been put back on the sunbed from where the chicken had laid!@#

Not impressed as if it wasn't for the gravy my Wife felt she was chewing on crackers..

Such a let down to a lovely time away

I ordered steak for my dinner and it was so dry, told a staff member but not really bothered. Continental Breakfast was ok but cooked breakfast was not so great , not sure what the food was cooked in but it was lingering on the food.

Good service, pleasant staff, drinks were a bit expensive, place is in need of a refurb, meal was average. My wife’s Curry was missing the mango chutney as they had run out & the nana bread wasn’t particularly fresh, the chicken was stringy. My pie was lovely, nice mash & green beans, but the gravy was like coloured water.

I think it will be a while before we return.

As it’s local to us we popped in last night for a meal to give it one last chance (been before & food was very poor) ... well, what a disappointment the food was again... I had gammon steak which was mostly fat & gristle, very little meat. My better half had the chicken escalope which had a burnt crumb coating & dried out chicken... I told the waitress & she just looked at me blankly... I think it’s safe to say we won’t be returning until things change drastically.

Went to the Centurion this morning for breakfast. Arrived at 10.40 to be told they were taking no more sittings for breakfasts because they had ran out of food! She also stated that last orders had just been called. Breakfast is from 7am till 11pm, if last orders are before this then you really should state that on your website!! Instead we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Sainsbury's

Went here for a meal today with my friend and her son. First off all, from the minute we walked in we felt rushed to sit down and order a drink, before we had even looked at the menu. Once we had ordered our drinks, within 2 minutes we were already being asked what we would like to eat, we hadn’t even taken our coats off yet. After being asked about 4 times we were finally ready to order. (The menu is very disappointing.)

The food was fairly quick coming out so you couldn’t moan at that, but the waitress who brought our food out said ‘the plates are very hot’ and dumped them straight in front of my friends 8 month old son, who was sat in his high chair playing with his toy on the table so he was obviously going to try and touch the hot plates.

My friend then asked another waitress if the waitress that was serving us had forgot her Coleslaw, not in a rude way at all, this waitress replied by saying ‘she only has 2 hands’ in a real rude and sarcastic tone. I think this is absolutely disgusting to talk to customers in this way.

After being spoken to like an absolute idiot we will DEFINITELY NOT be returning !!

Came here for a family birthday celebration. Never usually complain, however I feel the service provided here for families with young children is incredibly poor. A table was reserved online in advance for 4 people & babys high chair, asked for quiet table. Telephone call made to tell them it was for 2 birthdays. Was given very cramped table which was also too close to another family table to the point where the staff were struggling to get through the gap between both tables, no thought given to offering us a more appropriate table, we felt very uncomfortable. My 1 year old son loves to eat independently in his high chair, the high chairs were very dated & dangerous, straps too tight, son started to fall through gap in high chair whilst trying to adjust as no middle safety bar. Given 2nd high chair which was the same, we ended up having to juggle my son on our laps whilst eating, therefore none of us enjoyed our food. Asked politely for baby milk to be warmed, came back cold. Had to wait a very long time for mains & staff kept forgetting to give us the bill. I'm glad we didn't let this experience ruin the rest of my sons 1st birthday & my mothers birthday. I definitely feel more thought & effort needs to be put into providing a good service here for families. What a shame.
