Ceramicoat International has developed an innovative environmentally friendly non toxic anti-corrosion and fire protective coating that protects steel, concrete aluminium, and wood. Our chemically bonded phosphate ceramic (CBPC) technology builds on the CBPC developed by the US Department of Energy to immobilise radioactive uranium for longterm underground storage. We upgraded and optimised our CBPC into a sprayable 2-part coating system which can be applied on steel, aluminium, concrete and wood to protect against corrosion, fire, heat, chemicals, and erosion. Ideal for any application which requires protection from corrosion including the oil and gas industry (CUI, on-shore and off-shore platforms, storage tanks), infrastructure (steel bridges, factories, water processing), and marine (ship-hulls, underwater platforms). Additionally, Ceramicoat is also an ideal anti-fire coating as it is 90% heat reflective with zero flame spread, and can be used in place of intumescent coatings for construction projects, protecting substates to temperatures above 750˚C. It creates over 90% less carbon emissions than traditional polymer anti-corrosive and anti-fire coatings, with superior performance and reduced life-cycle costs.
