About us
Cha Pot Bubble Tea was founded in March 2015. 'Cha' is the Chinese word for 'Tea', so our brand name can also be read as 'Tea Pot Bubble Tea'.
Our Mission
We're dedicated to reinventing the British tradition of tea-time, and updating it so that it's fit for a 21st Century audience. We want to fuse this great old British tradition with the amazing flavours of Taiwanese Bubble Tea to build something really great.
What is Bubble Tea?
Bubble Tea was invented in Taiwan in the 1980s. It has since taken the world by storm, and is now really starting to take hold in Britain too. Bubble Tea can be made either hot or cold, and the liquid base can be made from milk, tea or fruit juice. But the best part of bubble tea is the edible tapioca pearls or juice pobbles which are included with every drink, which are slurped through a large straw and release all kinds of flavours when bitten into!
Where you can find us
We're currently trading on Tuesdays from 10: 00-15: 00 at the Manchester University Markets on the University of Manchester campus. We have a stall booked at the markets on the following dates: March 10th, March 17th, April 14th, April 21st.
