The preschool and Woodies breakfast and after school club will be open as usual from Monday 5 th March. We look forward to hearing all your stories of having fun in the snow.

Due to the continued snow conditions the Preschool and Out of school club will be closed on Friday 2nd March 2018. Sorry for the inconvenience caused, stay safe and will see you all on Monday 5th March 2018. Please share all your snowy pictures on Tapestry.

Chaddlewood Pre-school and Woodies Out of School Club are recruiting a Pre-school Assistant for its ‘outstanding’ setting. This is a temporary post up to July in the first instance (pending budgetary review) Working hours a minimum of 16 hours per week term time only. We require an additional Pre-school Assistant as soon as possible to support the staffing structure in our popular Pre-school. We are seeking high quality candidates with appropriate experience of working with ...children within Early Years Settings, NVQ level 3. In addition, there will be a requirement to work some sessions in Woodies, our before and after school provision, where a range of engaging play based activities are provided.

We would like to wish all our children starting school in September a fond farewell and very good luck for the future. Their first day at school is a momentous occasion and we hope that we have helped build the foundations for their future learning. It has been a pleasure to look after and teach your little ones, thank you for the privilege.
The year 6 children are leaving Woodies After School to start secondary school and we wish you well, please come back and see us. Abbie ...Gennard and Kathryn Thompson are also leaving Woodies After school club to pursue other careers, good luck.
For those children who are staying with us, and for all the new children we look forward to welcoming, we are exciting to start on a new adventure in September.
The first day of term is Tuesday 5th September.

Well the weather is a wee bit miserable at the moment but there are rainbows being made inside preschool!! The bungalow children have been learning about the weather and this week they have explored the many colours of a rainbow and learnt to sing " I Can Sing a Rainbow". In the photographs you can see how we delivered colour mixing, a messy but fun activity. We put two blobs of paint on a plate and the children used their hands to create some lovely new colours. On the play dough table the children made arch shapes and caught the pot of gold at the end. A lovely colourful week of learning despite the weather!!!!

We welcome everyone in the community to our event. There will be activities for children, young and old and even grown ups!!! The event takes place within the grounds of Chaddlewood Primary School and many of the activities are Free. Please bring along a picnic and enjoy a fun packed family afternoon with stalls selling Build A Bears and Accessories, Glitter Tatoos, Face Painting, Sweets, Bric a Brac, Wooden Crafts, Sensi Candles and Pocket Money Stall. The Little Coffee and Cake Company are coming along with their lovely home made cakes and delicious coffees. A Bouncy Castle will be on site and most exciting of all there is a visit from real fairies!!!!!!!, courtesy of A Neverland Case.

VACANCY we have a vacancy for a Preschool Child Care Assistant. Level 3 qualification is preferred but a Level2 for the right candidate will be considered. The position is for our last term April-July with a review of business needs thereafter. Hello everyone. Here are a few "pics" of our lovely role play recently. The children have enjoyed playing in their dinosaur den, reading dinosaur stories and melting frozen dinosaur eggs, only to discover a dinosaur chick inside. Their imagination has gone wild and the learning has taken place without them realizing it! They have developed their writing skills by customizing their dinosaur masks and science has taken place in the form of putting warm water on an ice egg to di...scover what change occurs. In the bungalow the children have been re telling the story of The Three Little Pigs by being the pigs and Wolf themselves. They have used the props to make the three houses and have worked together. We have also been learning a very old rhyme about "This Little Pig", you may be too young to recall but, one went to market, one stayed at home, one had roast beef and one had none, and the last little pig cried wee wee wee all the way home. Now it all sounds like great fun but what did we actually learn? Maths! we sequenced and counted and learnt about size. A very busy, fun packed academic fortnight!!! And now we are making some special gifts for some special ladies so keep your eyes peeled. Next week, on Friday 31 March, we are raising money to support Brain Tumour Research by "Wear a Hat Day". Please help us raise money for this cause by donating a £1 or anything you can afford for your children to wear a hat! DATE FOR THE DIARY......
