Chaffinch

Chaffinch supports a locally-run project in the Kibera slum of Nairobi Kenya. Through the empowerment of local people, we provide opportunities for children to leave behind a life of extreme poverty. This is largely through educational opportunities alongside a feeding programme, access to basic healthcare, and the provision of a safe place to live for children with nowhere to call home. We run a Child Sponsorship Programme, engage in ad hoc fundraising, and provide some advice and training. Currently we are also supporting the construction of a new building for the project we support, the Future Stars Development Centre, to provide security and sustainability.
